Where's blueta?

Blue wrote a K note to my why she doesn't post much anymore and it VERY similar to many PM's and emails I get from MULTIPLE members.

It's really sad... but it is what it is.

I hope she comes back when she is up to it.

There have been a LOT of nice/quality people who just stopped posting.

It's sad when we lose good people like that. As I said, I hope things will turn around and people like Blue and HidnGod will find their way back.

I know she sent me a message like the others did.

It is very sad. She is a great person.

But, I think we are going to lose a lot more members if Stilleto is continues her reign of terror.

I was talking about all the harshness and hate that is regularly spewed by a small handfull of boardmembers, usually directed towards women... nothing more and nothing less.

Just go read the last thread that HidnGod posted.... It was really sad.

It doesn't do any good to play innocent on the board, because she can see your K's and pm's.

I don't have to play anything LOL.

My words on this thread were 100% honest.

I just looked at my K history matter of fact. SEVERAL men and women volunteered to me why they stopped posting. The one common thread was they could not stand all the toxic hatred flung mostly at women.

Somebody bumped HidnGod's last thread. He was quite succint.

I have also gotten many many emails off the boards echoing those sentiments.

I like Blu very much and miss her sassy self.However,I'm very surprised that she'd let the pricks around this joint get to her.

Tell her to come back, cuz I know she can hold her own!

Just keeping my toxic input to a minimum these days. I've been peeking in to see what's going on and to see what all my favorite peeps are talking about :-)

I finally put someone ON my ignore list, he's made history cuz I have NEVER done that ever here.There may be a lot more who join him too.

Blue, I feel you on the toxicity and I am sorry that you are taking a break on the one hand, on the other hand you are doing the right thing. I've had to step away from this place on more than one occasion. It's truly sad that a minority can have such an effect on the majority. :( The good news is, that karma is a bitch and eventually WE ALL REAP WHAT WE SOW.

I don’t believe the toxic minority has any effect; I think the problem is with the site admins and mods. There are mods acting like children and demon seeds towards some members (not me).
Example; you have someone, like Biteme who is emotionally not well and you get others making fun of him and his house. It’s like making fun of the kid in the wheelchair when you’re 5 yrs old!
There is a woman who lives across the street from me who is schizophrenic. She is a strange woman and she used to come up to me and scream "bitch" in my face or "fuck off" or whatever she would feel on her "bad" days.
I would not attack her back! Attacking emotionally unwell ppl shows the depth and SHEER weakness of a person

Just like with you BM, you have had some rough times, and yeah sometimes your posts go long or you're upset, and you have these asswipes attacking you and NO one stops it. I read before that BRR had to make a stop to it. Finally an admin with some balls!
I don’t take this place or the net too seriously, though on my health boards the ppl are very real to me since they have helped me adjust to my current health situation, but this is a fitness board where many ppl come to learn about fitness. Yeah we can have banter and yeah maybe some mud slinging, but it’s down right evil beings that inhabit here.

That's my opinion.......for those wanting to attack me now, save your energy and become nicer people!

I have know Idea if biteme is not emotionally well. But, it seriously pisses me off when people make fun of his house. It is very childish and hurtful. I was given shit about how and where I grew up. But, now I thank the people that gave me shit. I tell them thanks I couldn't have done it with out you.

BTW. Should biteme be get a low interest loan and buy a house he can't afford like the rest of the people?

Oh. Maybe you are right about him not being emotionally well. I forgot he got married. :(

Blue, I was an elite mod once back in the day when there was only ONE OTHER FEMALE MOD and believe me when I tell you that it ain't all peaches and cream as it seems from the perspective of the board. I don't know when I was attacked worse, when I was a mod or after... mattered not, the wanton hatred and negativity kept on. So I would just leave from time to time.

I know that I have a tremendous amount of rage because of the circumstances surrounding my life. Imagine how it affects my children - they feel the same rage and hatred. They also lash out at others and themselves because our lives are THAT unfair - there is no sense of right or wrong, no up or down, NO RULES whatsoever. It is enough of a mind-fuck for me. Imagine being a child growing up like that?!?! But I have to sit here and listen to GROWN-UPS whining about *arbitrary rules* on an internet discussion board?!?!? Come on people... sheesh.

The few that think this is funny, well I feel sorry for them as their wanton hatred has NOTHING to do with me and EVERYTHING to do with them. he sad part about it that the wanton hatred of a few brings down the integrity of the entire board.

The mods and administration have a difficult task trying to keep *everybody* happy. But ultimately THE ONLY RULE everyone need pay attention to, "If you don't like it... leave." And when someone forces administration's hand, administration helps them leave... Also be aware that just because someone isn't chastized publicly, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I have had the wrath of digger come down on my ass on more than one occasion. I shut my mouth, apologized and moved on. I didn't make 5 thousand and one threads about how *unfair* and *evil* administration was calling attention to my embarrassment over having to be *disciplined* LOL. I STFU, apologized and moved on as I fully recognize that my place on elite is A PRIVILIGE.

As I said, there were many times I had to walk away from this place because the negative outweighed the positive. So I just left and returned when I felt the positive element had grown to the point where I felt this was *home* again.

There are all sorts of personalities here and of course, sometimes they will clash. I dont agree with every decision that administration makes, but ultimately I have to accept it. And to my memory, administration hasn't done anything that would cause me to be so upset that I would choose to leave.
 
BM, I only base my perception of EF from the other fitness and health boards I've been on. There is certainly a differnet way of running the show here.

Oh I know it....

If you had been on elite back before 2002 it was run THE SAME. I remember when I was first modded, the explanation was that A - I had something that they hoped I would share with the other women interested in fitness and health and B - that I would help to make the boards be a *safer* atmosphere for female posters.

I got burnt out on A... But I NEVER gave up on B.

I still remember what *The Sherrif* the old mod on the women's board back in the day said to me when they modded me. He said, "You gotcher pearl handled six-shooter. Shoot first and ask questions later." In other words, if you even THINK someone is a negative influence on the boards - can their ass and we will sort out the details later.....

How I WISH we could return to those days. I just don't see that happening though... not unless I bought this place. LMFAO and I can't see me being able to afford such a project any time soon. :biggrin:

They are always posting on the other board though, so I know where to find them when I have a question.

How bout instead of making a bunch of inane threads about how *this place sucks because I (meaning the one bitching and moaning) lack social skills* .... and opt for the maxim - if I don't like it - I WILL JUST LEAVE?!

I have never seen another board where the mods and admin are caused SO MUCH STRESS by the tiniest population. The mods and admin are indeed patient.
