Where/Why do street fights generally begin?

I've never been into a fight (nor do I want to) but im curious about where most fights occur and for what reasons.

Agree about the alcohol and women. Guy drinks too much, other guy drinks too much. Guy looks at other guys girl, fight. Of course, some people are just assholes.

You know The biggest thing I have seen start a street fight is EGO. Someone thinks they can kick someones ass and feels the need to prove it. Usually a persons friend will talk the person into fighting espically if this so called friend is ragging on the guy for not fighting. I do agree Alcohol and girls cause a lot of fights. I believe it all boils down to STUPIDITY. I have been in martial arts well over eleven years and only been in two street fights in that time. Now before martial arts I was in a fight every other day.

anywhere really.. your best bet is to be aware of your situation w/o being overly paranoid ... never become to relaxed if you are out in public

anywhere people drink,spend money, gather, disperse or are confined has potential

more and more fights are starting over 'road rage' never stay in your vehicle if someone approaches always get out your a sitting duck in your car.

It's true that most fights happen when drinking is going on. They're almost always at a bar or party or sporting event. Most people who fight don't need much of a reason, they go out the way to find one. Shamrock11 is right about it being about ego. Most people who start fights are wannabe tough guys.

Woulnd't street fights usually take place on the...street? But seriously I could never understand wanting to fight just for the hell of it. Some bad childhood I guess.

When I used to go to clubs, there were a lot of fights inside and outside over basically nothing. A mean look, or somebody accidentally bumps somebody.
And yep, over females too.
I've been in a lot of streetfights-Never started even one. Sometimes a guy wants to fight and will start one for absolutely no good reason.
