Where the Fuck is our Freedom?

the most pathetic thing ever:

soldier goes to war to kill..
but cant legally drink.. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea I'll tell you when I first got in the military I wasn't old enough to drink and the Air Force is strict as hell about it. Everyone and I mean everyone thinks it should be otherwise but they cant allow us to break the law I guess. It really doesn't make any sense that after all the work we do and all the sacraficdes we make that we cant have a beer at the end of the day.

What I am trying to convey is a sense of proportionality, while you are bitching about teeny tiny problems that mean the world to you I'm trying to say step out side the box for a minute and see how GOOD you do have it.

I have quite a few Vietnam vet friends that were screwed when they came home, screwed by the ungrateful citizens as well as the government. I too have close comrades, who I served with last year, that are now recovering from serious combat injuries (a guy in my squad actually) so don't play that shit with me. I'm still astonished at how well people treated my company after we returned. Free suppers, drinks, etc. I think to most people it is a fad and they cannot correlate returning vets to the vets of Vietnam. Same job and same guys, different time and different place. As far as living conditions go (ie: hardships), it sucks that the military doesn't get more credit/compensation than we do but that's the name of the game. We all knew going in what we were going to get paid and what kind of dirt (or sand) we were going to be sleeping in. Money shouldn't be the reason people join the military, pride and honor should be; in Canada or the US.

Hey ass face, I spent ten years of my life in the military. When was the last time you traveled to a third world country? You think you have it hard here? If your biggest gripe is juice you have no idea what the fuck is going on in this world. I have been to fourteen countries in my ten years active, EACH of them had some pretty cool shit going on but ALL of them had some pretty big issues. Pound for pound NO country has so much personal freedom balanced with corporate security than the US. I think you need to be a hell of a lot more humble about how good you have it. I'm tired of hearing American’s bitch about how hard they have it, about how oppressed they are. Try getting your hands chopped off because someone SAID you stole from them. Clean water? We can get it five different ways; the majority of the world can't get it at all. The fact that that fruitcake lady can sit at the end of Pres. Bush's road also is a testament to our freedoms. If it were like many of the places I've traveled too, they'd just kill her and no one would say shit out of fear. I think you need to wake the hell up and see how GOOD you really have it.

have you been to any other western country?

I have.

Almost every European country is better than us in terms of freedom, healthcare, tolerance, academics, crime.

So maybe you should compare apples to apples, instead of apples to oranges

In other words you should be comparing the US to other WESTERN countries.

When you do that, you will see that we are very far behind in many areas.

People think that America is as good as it gets, but thats not true.

Europe is about as good as it gets.

Every country has its problems. Including Europe. I have my faults with the great country I live in, but America is a great nation. Its people should respect it to the fullest as I do! I'm not saying be just like me, But if you live here, respect it. I just think we have some bogus laws out there that need to be fixed. The only way to do that is VOTE VOTE VOTE! If we dont do that, we leave it up to everyone else to make the decisions for us wether we like them or not. Is this a steriod discussion forum or a bitch factory?

im not laughin at the soldiers bro.
laughing at the absurd legislation.

sorry didnt mean for it to come out that way, that's what I meant to, Congress sits up on the hill, passes dumb legislation and has a Krispy Kreme IV stuck in their asses

I've been through out Europe many times, everywhere from Norway, Italy, Gibraltar, Portugal, England, Poland, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Ireland, Estonia, and a few more countries.

Granted in the "free world" you don't get your hands chopped off. As stated though there are certain advantages to living in the US that many people don't see (at least I see them as advantages, other's could argue...). The list is literally endless and as vast as the ocean but to touch on a few points look at the medical system in Canada. I have three friends that live between Newfie and Ontario, each of them swears by their statements, "The Canadian medical system is inundated with idiots going to the hospital for a sniffle, making legit medical cases wait for days to be seen..."

It should also be noted that in Europe the government owns most if not ALL of the major media outlets and when it comes time for campaigning (issues or offices) the legislators use TAXPAYER money to push their own agendas. I won't even get into the private firearm ownership thing. Drugs, sure the vast majority of the EU is very liberal about drug use (research "Needle Park" in Switzerland) but letting everyone run free and do what they want isn't the right answer. It's hard to talk about drugs here and not sound like a hypocrite so I won't.

Income taxes are outrageous in places like Sweden! 52.3% Imagine keeping LESS THAN HALF of what you earned?

We can go back and forth on this all day...

I'm with you Jdynasty, I love this country and it's people, now the politicians is a whole different story... I've always believed in the theory, "Old men talking and young men dying..."

Face it in the USA we are nothing but ants sent to work everyday to help feed the queen so we can concore the world..Everyone wants to justify our freedom but when they feel the sting they sing a different song and dance!
You people helped pass the patriot act now everyone will get the sting with this law! Your buying gear from another country the goverment will soon step in and claim your helping to support terrorist groups and take everything you got, including your life! You watch and see thats why they wanted the law, so they can do whatever they want and justify it! Think your safe in this fourm? Think again if they say give me someones isp they have too! You dont use a proxy your not thinking! Your giving up your rights thinking your going to be protected and its all BS! They tell you what they want you to hear, wait till they take your guns away from everyone then what will you do? Throw rocks.....were all just ants!

This is for people that think i stupid... here's another f-ed up law!
Intrapment...If you know what your doing is illegal then theres no intrapment.... Now is that stupid or what? Why would someone make a law that just one sided for? Theses laws are made so only the law wins! That means they can make more money!....Just my 2 cents... most people are to busy feeding the colony to know whats going on around them! Thats the key to the goverments madness...

the reason it is the way it is, is due to the fact that this country is still on the kick that "A few bad apples rot the whole barrel." they look at a few cases of something gone bad and then they say it is a growing epidemic and changes need to take place. the majority of this country do not want to do AAS. this is why the law got passed. majority rules this country. but there is a huge majority of this country that smokes and drinks. this is why it is legal. it has been around for century's and we have grown to accept it. but it is true that law makers sit down and think of laws they can pass so they can leave their mark on this world. they dont care how many people it hurts or whatever, they just care that they made a law that they believe helped the people. i mena there are stupid laws all over the place. in one state it is illegal for your cows to have sex out in the open. these are cows not people. but some smuck decided to put in a law and it passed. believe me, its not so much the ones who want the laws that get them passed, its people like us who do nothing to stop it.

Right on bro!
