Where should I put deadlifts into my workout?

Tues: Legs
Wed: off
Thurs: Shoulders/bis/forarms
Friday:Back/Abs
Sat:off
Sun:off

I would obviously want to train them with my back or legs, but Im not sure which would be better. If I do shrugs on thursday, wouldn't it be overtraining my shoulders if I did deadlifts the next day? Should I just stick them in on leg day right after squats?
Also, if you guys have any other thoughts on the routine, please do comment.

Thanks.

Can you detail your split a bit more? That would help folks help you more.

I put my deads on a separate day from my squats b/c I just don't have it in me to do both on the same day.

Also, do you pull sumo or conventional? Conventional hits the low back more and sumo hits the hips more.

My only concern about the split is that your bis and forearms might be tuckered out by the time you get to rowing and doing chinups/pulldowns (and maybe even deads) the next day.

I like to do my deadlifts right after squats. I only have one powerlifting day every week (in the rest of my workouts I utilize higher reps) and I don't like high rep deads so that makes the choice abit easier. If its hard to do at first, don't worry your body will adapt to it and you'll be handling heavy poundages again on the deadlift in no time. I can do 585 for 2 or 3 reps after doing squats now on this splitt, so it isn't that bad.

I'd move legs to friday- give you the weekend to recover, so you can do sprints/cardio during the week.

and Tuesday - do back/abs, and start with deads.

okay, thanks a bunch guys. and makedah, I pull conventional when I do, though I havent deadlfted in a while b/c I havent figured out where to put it in.

So basically I am thinking my new split should look something like this:

mon: chest/tri (flat, incline, decline, flys, close grip, skull crushers)

tues: back/abs (deadlift, pulldown, standing row, good mornings, then ab stuff)

wed: off

thurs: Shoulders/bis/forearms (front + back military, shrugs, lat raises, chins (I think this is what they're called, where you stand straight up and pull the fucked up bar to your chin using your shoulders), preacher curls, incline seated dumbell curls, hammer curls, reverse curls)

Friday: Legs (squats, lunges, one or two sets of high rep leg extentions/curls just to isolate, calves)

sat + sun: off

Do you think it would cause any overtraining to do deadlifts two days before I do shrugs and chins? Also, if I wanted to throw something like a clean or a snatch in, should those go on leg or back day?

Thanks

Incredible strength! Havent broken 5 yet on the deads off the floor thanX for the inspiration

I agree with Walkingbeast. I also do my deads on back day.
First I do heavy power cleans, then deads, then chins and rows.
I used to do deads on leg day but found it to be too taxing on my system and I would feel drained for two days........

Deads on leg day That mustve been brutal haha Ill pass on that
I dont even train my legs anymore Do to heavy deads and barbell hack squats I probably should though

It was brutal !!! Notice I said " I used to " do deads on leg day, LOL :) I was 27 then....I do that shit now I would need a tow truck to drag my ass outa bed the next day..............
