1.) You daily post ratio has gone down quite a bit.
2.) Lately, most of the replies to your threads have either been combative or sympathetic. Not a lot of support.

You came on during a time when most of the board's loudest folks were adamantly liberal. And your UN posts were accepted, you won some great flames over some political thread and gained some minor noteriety.

Since most of the board has either flip-flopped politically, or the liberals just left, your support structure is gone.

The only other topics you regularly post about is employment and/or school. Which are somewhat tame and neutral.

So all the snipers who used to take pot-shots at you no longer troll your posts. All the supporters are gone or quiet.

So in your eyes, you've probably felt like dropping Nordy off at the pound and picking a new handle up.

But your dilema is simple, what persona do I return as? And how do I build a reputation quickly. I figure your plan was to bring on a handle, use Nordy as either an antognist or protagonist to give <new handle> some status.

EF was very very liberal. It's just now starting to balance out, but I might be wrong. The US isn't in a political cycle, so it's hard to judge.

I enjoyed your UN posts. I just happen to disagree with the UN, doesn't mean I don't like the Nordy persona.

If I were to start a new handle, I would post on the Anabolic forum and maybe some other forums until I had a little bit of recognition. Just jumping onto the chat forum now-a-days is fatal at best.

I've been on EF since 1999. I was liberal back then too. So that can't be the reason. i was arguing for the ICC back in may, when RyanH & strongchick were gone. I stood up for myself with literally no support from anyone.

I've been thinking about this, there are several reasons i don't get political anymore.

1. politics is hard & time consuming.
you have to know pretty much everything to have a good argument. I only know a small bit about the UN, but in order to argue effictively i have to read, read & read. It would take me 25 minutes to make an argumentative post sometimes as i would have to study, read & back up my arguments. It wasn't worth it.

2. I don't want to be a pushover.
I have never asked you, talonracer, chesty, p0ink, cockdezel, etc. to justify their beliefs. I take for granted that you are going to think things i don't agree with and i agknowledge that life experiences & personal perspectives make those idealogies valid & good ideas to you. However, i was always asked to justify supporting the UN, as if there is something inherietly wrong with being pro-UN (the same way a woman who marries a convict has to justify her decision to people, if she married a normal man she wouldn't have to do that). I got tired of that too.

3. I like people here
I didn't want to end up like RyanH or strongchick, alienating everyone. You & skywalker gave me some good info when i asked a question about real estate, i've had a 1 hour conversation with p0ink on AIM, and i enjoy the posts of alot of the people who hate liberals here. I don't wish to be outcast.

4. people are verbally abusive here if you are liberal
Self explanatory. Got tired of being called a moron for thinking for myself (see point 2 too).
