Been talking about this on the mod board, folks. You know we're not a source board. We've been telling you for a long, long time that anyone who uses the PM system to try to set up a deal is not to be trusted.
Giving scammer reports puts us in a bind. If we commit to telling you that so-and-so is a scammer, and we stand silent on what's-his-name, our silence comes across as endorsement. It's a trap, frankly. How do we get out of it?
Unless there's some direct connection to EF, a scammer reported to us for using our system to prey on members, we don't want to talk about sources, period. Good sources, bad sources, outright scammers -- NONE of those are what we're about.
It's damned frustrating, when Needto is trying to be a stand-up guy and keep you all safe. It makes me feel like I'm pulling the rug out from under him... but that's the shape of the world after ORD. We're going to keep thinking about this and trying to figure out where the lines have to be drawn.
