Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Canada have a minimum barrel length law which would make this pistol illegal? I wouldn't want a .410 for self defence. go .45 and be done with it.

in a very tense situation the level of accuracy required to spray someone with a load of 00 buckshot is significantly less than that required to punch a hole in them with a single projectile. . .i'm a VERY BIG fan of the .45. . .if you do connect with your target. . .anywhere on their body. . .the fight/burgalry/home invasion is pretty much over. . .but you gotta hit the target. . .not always easy when your adrenals are crapping juice into your bloodstream. . .

Agreed but even in a defensive shooting situation your going to be responsible for each of those rounds of buckshot. I would rather one projectile that I know where it's going than 7 that I kind of have an idea about the direction.

No matter the handgun, yes you should. Each model is particular.

Well you have to weigh your situation. If you have a family, it is allot easier for a .45 bullet to pass through a wall than a .410...

Not if it is a frangible round.

Maybe a glaser too. I haven't seen any penetration tests for glaser rounds. Maybe Manny knows.
