Anyone else have trouble bringing their calves up to speed with the rest of their body? I’m built like a brick shit house up stairs but down stairs (and I mean calves) they are lacking the mass to make me look well proportioned. If tried every possible workout to put on mass but they just don’t.
Anyone else have this problem? If so what did you do to bring you calves back and pack on mass?
No need for guys with genetically huge calves to respond – I hate people like you!!

Currently I’m 5’ 10” 221lbs at 11%

I think low weight/ high voloume is the way to go, most people tend to disagree. I found that if I worked them really hard 2-3 times a week, overfeeding on those days, I finally got the results I wanted.

And dont listen to the "people who run have huge calves" bullshit, running just made them more sleak and efficient. Sprints to a certain extent helped but I think full ROM, High Volume, and low weight is the way to go.

I work them twice a week one day high reps low weight the other heavy weight low reps. It's been working well so far.

I think sprinting had great effects on my calves. Playing sports blew them up more than any weight-training program I've since used.

I used to do 5-6 sets of 10-15 reps moderate weight with only short 10 breath breaks in between sets. my calves which used to be so pitiful responded amazingly well to this routine. i added a good deal of size, but then after a while the gains stagnated.

now i'm doing one heavy rest paused set of 10-15 reps in my DC routine and sure enough they're growing again, but much more noticeably than before.

speakign for myself, my calves were huge before I started lifting from a lot of running in HS - cross country, track, sprinting, etc.

I don't have calves - I have bulls.

My calves seem to be the best part of my body. They're 16.25" around and only recently I started using alot of weight with them for heel raises. I used to do 3-4x a week, 100 reps with bodyweight for calves. Seemed to work good for me. I was never obese or anything in my life either, so it's not like the size came from that.

I noticed the most growth in my calves when I did both standing and seated on the same day. 2 work sets each of about 25 reps with moderate to heavy weight.
