When you list your bf%...

how do you measure your bf%

The reason I ask is I see a lot of people listing 10% or below and they are not shredded to the bone.
Last time I was checked I had 8 abs and obliques. Not grainy. I was 11% by calipers and 16% when dunked. Everyone at the gym kept saying 8%.
I see some crazy numbers listed (and told to me at the gym).
How many people actually get dunked?
 
When I am lean enough to really want to know I get dunked, everything else is just a guess.


Next to getting dunked, my pants size will tell me everything else I need to know.
 
I use the most popular method... I lie. I fed my measurements into one of those sites with as much credibilty as the roid store, and they figured 12-13% , so that's what I say. But I am wondering about the best way.
 
In the past I've been dunked and use calipers, but there's an anti-aging/wellness clinic that I have access to that uses some sort of laser to measure bodyfat. The machine looks like a CAT scanner but measures bodyfat extremely accurately, so Im told. Im thinking of getting it one there and being dunked as well as using calipers all in the same time frame so I can see how accurate the dunking/calipers are compared to the laser standard.
 
Knowledge of body fat percentage is strictly for personal information, no one else cares, I don’t care what your bf is, and you don’t care what my bf per cent is,


I want to know for my self, but like said above I am only interested when I am very lean.


Everything else is for appearance, and if my bf is 20 percent and I look great I could care less what anyone else thinks.

Well said. I only do bf % close to a show for reference purpose. All other times I could care less what i weigh, as long as I can get into 36" waist pants when blowing up in the off season I'm good.
 
That sounds good to me. At 6-1,240 fitting into size 36 pants is my new method of bf% calculation. That's my size and my waist is never the problem, it's the caboose.
