when you get new appliances

do you get excited? it's kind of like xmas for me. we took the fridge from my grandma's house cause it's only a few years old. the fridge the landlord has in this place sucks ass. it's really old. ice cream is like soft serve at best. i hauled it inside yesterday when we got home, and today after it had time to sit, i cleaned it out real good, then plugged it in. i almost got horny over the whole thing.

ok, i did get horny. the whole thing turned me on. for some reason i get real excited over these things. i got a stiffy a few weeks ago when my gf got a deep chest freezer at a yard sale for $25. if we were just a little bit shorter, i prolly would've asked her to fuck in it...that's how excited i was about it.

i'm not alone in these feelings, right?

lol i never got horny over a fridge before.....but this one time at band camp....

i bet if i wrote the word "Lumberg" on any appliance you'd be ready willing and able at the drop of a hat. don't lie, you know it's true.

LOL...it's like a grown-up geek thing.

I got excited when I got a new furnace, then when I got the AC...I wouldn't go so far as to say it made me horny, but it's like when you're a kid and you get a new toy.

Yep, I love new appliances.....so shiny, so new.......You'll love having a chest freezer -- it's great to stock up on stuff....

Not really cause it means my old one needed replacing after a good amount of heartache it`s given me. So the whole experience would be a bad one.

I envy your enthusiasm.

I love getting new yard tools.. Power or hand..
I'll sit in the garage mulling over where I'm gonna hang it or store it for a long time.

My peter stays in my pants the entire time though...

i hear ya GL. i've been pretty lucky though. all i had to do was haul the fridge back home, didn't cost me a dime. so free fridge for me.

our last dryer died on us in the beginning of winter, but we got a used one (in great shape) for free. i was excited about that.

i was ready to kill someone when our washer bit the dust, but we got an excellent deal on a used one, so i was excited.

anything else though, it's like, we either didn't have it before and someone gave it to us or we got it real cheap and it worked great. so just like everyone, we've started out with nothing and progressed from there. i'm sure, however, once replacing things gets expensive, i'm not going to have the same enthusiasm. for now though, i can still get giddy like a catholic school girl experiencing lesbian sex in the bathroom of the high school for the first time :p

oh yeah, got one of those little hand held blenders, like the ones you'd stick in a pot type deals. freebie, of course. brand new. can't wait to try that out. might have to make a batch of spaghetti sauce real soon so i have an excuse to test it out :D

Im waiting on a dishwasher, or to move:) I love new appliances. I know when me and the ex got a new dishwasher after ours had torn up, Lowes was going to deliver it, but i hauled it home myself and made him connect it that NITE!!! I couldnt wait to use it

I love those hand held blenders. I use it twice a day.

it's not a blender blender though. it's like a mixer kinda cross between a blender and beaters type dealie. you konw what i'm talking about, right?

how's that tree doing?

I just moved into condo so i got about 7 new appliances.. been horned up for weeks lol

actually just went to expo last night.. dropped about $1600 on each window for hunter douglas treatments.. i was pretty excited =) lol

not quite hormy :D but new power tools are always great. especially drills and jackhammers, since by the time you go get one you REALLY needed it and you just sigh when you do your job

and stereo gear. like speakers.

stereo gear is in it's own catagory. i don't consider it an appliance or a tool, i consider it a necessity, just as important as my car.

ever get a new tool and just be like "ok, something needs to break or i need to make somethign so i can use this". i've done that before.

speaking of getting new things, i'm going to have to move the old fridge onto the porch today to get it out of the kitchen. that means i'm going to have to organize the porch so i have room for it (enclosed porch, got lots of tools and car parts in there). waiting to hear from the landlord about when he wants to come pick the fridge up, but i want it out of my kitchen NOW!

my present house was has the washer/dryer inside the house....a first for me. in the past the washer/dryer was always in the garage.

i bought a chaeap, used washer/dryer when i moved in. the price was right, they worked good, but what a noisy, groaning, IRRITATING combo they were! i had to crank up the television to cove up the noise.

after checking consumer reports for the quietest units around, i splurged for the magtag neptune front loading washer and dryer.

What A Difference! the first few times i used them, i sat in the laundry room with a cup of coffe and the newspaper, admiring the quiet, soothing to the ears, pleasing hummmmmmmm these units make.

as the back door is the main door for this house, the maytags are the first things you see as you walk into the house. i have received many favorable comments on them.

(you KNOW you are getting old when a maytag makes you happy!)

the last washer we bought (for $30, guy was moving), GF called me to tell me. i asked her what type. she said Maytag, and fairly new. i had to unzip my pants because of the sudden onset of a massive erection.

my boner went straight into the ground when i found out it was only a Whirlpool. still a good deal for $30.

I was pretty excited when I got a new washer and dryer a couple of years ago, because it meant no more trips to the dreaded laundromat. I want a dishwasher, but I would have to get one of the ones on wheels, with the hose that you clip to the kitchen faucet. And my faucet is one of those low-flow pieces of crap, I dunno if it would work.

The portable dishwashers are just okay, IMO...too small to be of real use, and don't do a great job of getting stuff clean.

gf's grandmother has one of those portable dishwashers. she's been bugging us for 3 years to take it out of her house and i keep saying no. we don't have enough room in the kitchen for it so i said no. she doesn't understand why we don't want it, but i think she's just trying to pawn it off on us so it's out of her kitchen.

my grandmother always washed the dishes by hand, then put them in the dishwasher and washed them again. too much effort for me, but her dishes were always spotless.

The ones I've seen are the same size as the installed ones.

landlord is coming over tomorrow night to pick up the old fridge, which is his anyway. it's been driving me crazy with it in the kitchen, cause there's a lot of dirt and pet hair underneath it and i can't really clean it until i can get the fridge out of here. 2 fridges on the same wall crammed in between the oven and our kitchen table. i had to move the old fridge over a few feet to put the new one next to it, and that's when i saw the dirt. as soon as that old thing is gone, i'll be cleaning the floor.

plus i keep going into the kitchen, go to open the fridge, and i open the old one. that was driving me nuts, so yesterday i took the doors off of it and put them on the porch. needed to anyway so the fridge will fit out the back door.

i'm still giddy about the new fridge ;)

landlord not only got the fridge out of here yesterday, but he took our old washer and dryer that we've had sitting outside for a while now. i guess he's got a hookup at a local dump so he has no problem getting rid of things like that. he got rid of another dryer for us before as well. nice to have that stuff gone for good.
