When the needle hits the bone

I inject in my Quad every week and every week before injection i'm scared of hitting the bone. I'm using a 1 inch 23 gauge needle. Before i inject, i always poke myquad with my index finger and can feel the bone right underneath the muscle. Has anyone ever hit a bone and would like to share his story

seriously bro if you can hit a bone in your leg with a 1" pin you need to re-evaluate whether your ready for gear yet. because those must be some mighty thin legs.

They measure 27 inches.

Then what you worried about? my reply wasn't a flame dude just a comment.
My legs are 28" and there must be at least 5 inches depth befor there's any bone.

is it a lot easier to hit veins and the like in the quad? it seems so easy and i want to try it next time around. but the thought of the veins makes me wary. that is the only thing about needles i have ever been "scared" of......when you get an injection into a vein. just sticking it in various areas isn't bad, but veins.......yuck.

the only place ive ever done a vein is in my glute, twice. once i had to re-stick the other time i just passed through so i didnt notice it untill i pulled the pin out.

If you really have 27" Quads your either injecting the wrong area, or you're lying.

I have tiny 26" Quads and hitting the bone would take a harpoon, and this is obvious to me. I've used 1 1/2" and wouldn't hesitate to use a 2".

The veins aren't the bad part. It's all the damn nerves. I've hit a nerve 3 times in a row. I've given up on them this cycle. I'm now rotating delts, tri's, pecs, bi's. There's nothing like getting out of bed and putting a needle in your chest. I always think of that part in Pulp Fiction:p

The lateral (outer) midthigh, using a 1 1/2" needle, is probably one of the safest places to inject. Fewest nerves and blood vessels. You will not hit the Femur.
