do you tap your breaks?

i do. :)

Yep. Brake check. Only if they are being really stupid like on the highway and there is clearly a long line of cars in front of you.

I'll also be a prick and box people in on purpose.

Soo??/

assault with a deadly weapon on your guys parts is ok???

cause that is what you did... they may be inatentive, distracted, whatever... but what you did was intentional..

"actions that a reasonable person would or could expect it to cause serious bodily harm"

And you used a 3500 lb vehicle as the weapon..

just saying.. .i just take my foot off the gas..

I hit my washer fluid and jus leave it on untill its empty lol
ofcourse this os only when im in the slow lane if im in the fast lane i move over

Well, actually my husband stands on the brakes and then informs them about the small furry animal that darted in front of him if the driver gets up in our face.

We have problems with people who tailgate. If you're going the speed limit, there is NO excuse.

I live in Southern California, so your "too close" is probably our normal. Having said that, if someone here is following too close, that means they are NASCAR style drafting (maybe even rubbing bumpers).

I'm always checking mirrors, so if I see someone coming up and I can get over, I do. If I can't get over and they are being real assholes, doing the NASCAR drafting, maybe getting onto the shoulder, etc., yes I will tap the brakes. I won't slam on the brakes, but I will let them see my brake lights so they back off. Then I will get over when I get the chance.

In heavy traffic in SoCal, if you leave one car length between you and the car in front of you, someone will pull in there. Stupidest drivers I've ever seen.

I like my car, and my life and health and those of others on the road.

So I never risk somebody slamming into me from behind by braking. If somebody is tailgating you, you can just slow down.

I don't like tailgating but that doesn't mean I should risk an accident that could be far worse.

What if the tailgater slams into you, looses control, swerves into an adjacent lane and takes out a family that had nothing to do with the whole thing? Just because you had to hit the brake to teach them a lesson?

Would you be ok with that?
