When should you have the highest concentrations of Ox (anavar) in your system?

Considering its relatively long half life for an oral, combined with the time it takes to digest the drug, I really think you're not going to be able to "time" your highest concentration, not that I feel that the concentration varies much through the day regardless of dosing schedule anyway after about 3 days of dosing.

Even if you could time it, and even if the peak was signifigant, anavar works by increasing mitochondria in the cells over time, so it really wouldn't make a difference to have it peak during workouts. It doesn't induce any noticable levels of aggression like halo or methyl test, so I don't see the use.

Just take it when it's convienient for you..my thinking has led me to believe the dosing schedule is unimportant for this oral due to its method of action and its halflife.

Maybe it's time to give up the idea of being able to keep HPTA unaffected durind an ox cycle; if you're going over 20mg you'll get supression anyway. I tried it both ways and you can definitely tell the diference; ox is considerably more effective spread over 3 doses/day. You will need some clomid therapy going off but I did ok with just half of the dosage required for a regular post-cycle recovery.

There is a misconception on this thread. That is not the HALF life, but the TOTAL ACTIVITY LIFE...After 8 hours, close to 80%of the ox is completely dissipated from the system. At about the ten hour mark, you're zeroed out.Split the tabs up to every 5-6 hours.

Really? If this is true, then the optimal dosing pattern would be very similar to dbol...

Guess so...

D.__ OXANDROLONE

Oxandrolone (Bio-Technology General Corp., Iselin, NJ) is a 17b -hydroxy-17a -methyl ester of testosterone which is cleared primarily by the kidney. Hepatotoxicity is minimal, even at doses higher than the 20mg/d recommended by the FDA. Oxandrolone is the only steroid in which a carbon atom within the phenanthrene nucleus has been replaced by oxygen. This alteration appears to be responsible for its potent anabolic activity, which is 5 to 10 times that of methyltestosterone. In addition, its androgenic effect is considerably less than testosterone, minimizing this complication common to other testosterone derivatives. The increased anabolic activity and decreased androgenic (masculinizing) activity , markedly increases its clinical value. Oxandrolone is given orally, with 99% bioavailability. It is protein-bound in plasma with a biologic life of 9 hours, and the current cost for 20mg is about $30.00.

Does this support or refute a shorter than (avg) 9-hr half-life?

I *think* this is saying that indeed the (average) half-life is 9 hours (average of 5 and 13)

Oxandrolone has high oral bioavailability with a peak concentration time of one hour. It is 94 to 97% protein bound and has a volume of distribution of 578 ml/kg. Oxandrolone is partially metabolized in the liver with approximately 30% of a dose recovered unchanged in the urine. The
elimination half-life is 5 to 13 hours.
