we lived three houses above the highest crest of the susquehanna. . .we had cows sleeping in our backyard. . .and, yes, that was not a normal occurance smart-ass

I spent the flood at Stephens School, they evacuated us out expecting the Susquehanna to crest about ten feet over the dike at Maynard. Dad worked at JS Steel at the time, and couldn't make it home. So he drove up Big Pine but couldn't get past the Waterville bridge. So he cut across Little Pine and snapped that pic.
