When a woman does not want a pre nup

You know, you are thinking about marriage and you suggest a pre-nup to your wife to be and she gets shitty or does not think it's romantic (as Frack put it in another thread) or just refuses to sign one. Would this make alarm bells go off in your head? Especially if you were more economically affluent?

My girlfriend said it's no problem and one of her cousins is a lawyer and she married a doctor, now the wierd thing is, SHE suggested he get's a prenup with her. Now that is a cool woman. I Like progressive women who can "handle" life and try to be fair in case "shit" happens.
 
If someone turns down a pre-nup without reading it - THAT would be a problem.

I think what some people don't get is that the idea of marriage is cclearly not what it was and one would be foolish to think that love will conquer all. It's a beautiful and romantic ideal but far from reality.

I pre-nup could and should prevent a lot of heartache if things should go sour.
 
Nothing wrong with a pre nup that's fair. Just don't assume that the man will always earn more. We had a case where a man was trying to contest the pre nup that his lawyer drew up.:D They both went to my gym and they made sure everyone there knew about what was going on. Adults can be so much fun sometimes.:rolleyes:
 
I think a pre nup is a good thing for both parties if they are reasonably sucessful. Starfish I'm afraid your dealing with some very outdated perceptions. Even though there is no reason some people assume that the man is going to have the money.

I've honestly never thought about a prenup. Don't know if I would want one or not. It just always seems like it's to protect men.

I will say that the two guys I thought may be "the one" were more like sponges than men. I guess that's why I'm here typing this instead of being with them :FRlol:

just make sure you are marrying for the right reason which is ultimately love... if she is a gold digger just make sure you don't have a giant white stick coming out of your ass (i.e. all day sucker)
 
I have dated women that made twice what I make. I would expect a prenup if we got married. Hopefully when you get married it's forever but if it does not work that way why should I or she lose most ove what we have worked for. I'm not real materialistic but I have worked hard to get where I am. I don't want to give half of what I own, half of my investments ect to someone I married who maybe decides she dosen't wish to share a bed.
 
Pre-nups are a great idea. Seriously, you have the right to protect what's yours and so does your spouse. I've never seriously thought about getting one, but then again I've never seriously thought about marrige either.

You can say it's not romantic and sets a bad precident, but that's like saying you're gonna go rob a bank without an backup plan.

It's possible to do everything right, and still have things go wrong.

I have one word. Anna Nicole Smith. She married a 98 year old man for love as she says-not for his money. Yeah, and hell just froze over.
 
Anna Nicole smith has turned into a fat tub of shit. Pity to ruin herself like that. I watched her show tonight and she looked like she was high on heroin. Slurring her words and barely keepin her eyes open. damn she has gotten HUGE!!
 
I watched part of it once. I can't stand to see someone make a fool of themselves and not even realize it. How sad

I have an eye for these things. Have a friend who specializes
in breast augmentation surgery.

I'd say about 400-500cc's silicon in those puppies.

I don't know why you felt a need to say this but you are incorrect. So your eye sight is off. No silicone, saline.........only 200cc's because I was a full C to begin with. I still don't know what the purpose of the comment was though. It seems some people feel a need to say these things to belittle others like it is suppose to mean my assets are less appealing. I am not flaming ya babe just stating my opinion.

Why get implants if you are already a full C, unless you are a tall and have a larger frame and you want the bigger breasts to go with it?
 
You just answered your own question superdave. Besides I was young and idiotic. Like the 18 yr old guy eyeing a muscle car he has no business owning and doesn't need. Foolishness of youth.
 
I tyhink its better for both parties, people can be untrustworthy leaches so you always have to watch your back, people change too....DTA DTA lol
