the leg was soar for awhile i needed crutches for about a week..

and it still doesnt full extend its been 2 weeks.. i thought it was just a bruise or something but i dont think so

does anyone know whats up?

i am not down to go threw surgery

i have trials in germany coming up..for a reserve squad!!

It might sound like a cardinal sin but if you can't get professional help to train through it: I would skip legs all together

My wife screwed hers up badly in a parking lot when she was pregnant, the patella flipped around completely.

She is just fine now but the surgery was arduous and there were about 20 specialists operating on her because they had to monitor baby etc. She no longer has a meniscus in that leg but has a very active personal training job a year later

Keep in mind she had trouble with that knee for a while, and was only carrying 40-50 extra pounds at that point in pregnancy

Not cheap even under a good PPO

I would look into a PT with strong credentials

Sounds like your ACL is ok, but you might still have toi get an MRI done to see if there was a stretch, partial tear, ect. If they find put its nothing really serious than you might just have to rest it, and they might give a special brace to you to protect it.

definitely meniscal tear, most common way this happens is when your knee is bent and you twist or a large amount of pressure hits the inside of your knee. When this happens you will hear a loud pop, afterwards it will be hard to straighten your knee. Two options at this point are both surgical, one is to go in and cut out the torn area...or repair it, if they cut it out you will be walking in a few days, if they repair you will be on crutches for 6 to 8 weeks. If they cut it out you will be more prone to early knee arthritis, and they say you should not remain as physical. The meniscus is a large c shaped piece of cartilage between your knee joint....so if you like to be athletic....id repair it if possible.

Knees are difficult. You need and MRI. xrays do not show soft tissue (tendons, ligaments, meniscus). If the injury to the inside of your knee and you can't straighten your leg, it could possible be your MCL, which usually heals without surgery and sounds like there could be some meniscus involvement.

I suggest you find a good sports med orthopedic doc. MRI and go from there.

I agree, you definitely need to get it checked out and fixed if necessary. If you don't get it checked and something is wrong with it you're more than likely going to have reoccuring injuries and pain if you're active on it. The worst is when you get back into great shape and you have a nagging/reoccuring injury that doesn't allow to you obtain you're ultimate goal! If nothing else you'll have piece of mind if it turns out to be a minor thing....

there isn't a easy way around this one bro ! either get cut or deal with the swelling , pain and redness . Oh yea it's just going to get worse the longer you wait! And one day you'll be walking around all happy then bang that flap with invert and you'll think you felt pain now wait till that happens! After 27 knee ops and 3 reconstructions I consider myself almost a expert on this shit ! Better to get it fixxed now and miss a year and heal than deal with what's ahead of you bro...... Either way good luck bro on your choice need "any" help feel free to PM me .FMT
