What's up Nublets?

He's been MIA for quite some time, apart from a few stray posts in the illegal section.

BTW, I got a fancy boutique-y pickup for my Esquire, a Fred Stuart Black Guard, but I haven't installed it yet.

No more than any other single-coil Fender-type pickup. And no less. Sure sounds a lot better than the shrill ceramic-magnet mess that came on the guitar.

Have you ever shielded your Pup cavity with copper tape? I'm thinking about it for my 50s Strat.

Also, I have some ceramics on my 04' MIM Fat Strat and they are pretty good for rock.

No, I've never tried shielding my guitars. It's never been much of a problem for me, but then I'm not gigging, so I don't have to deal with neon signs and bad grounding and such. Also I don't use a high-gain amp or lots of pedals.

It is only that one guitar for me, it came with the Custom Shop FAT 50s - hums like Pick3 at a gloryhole!
