What's the most overtime you've worked?

hahah 10 hour days are a joke......oil rigs in canada work 14 on 7 off 12 hours per day and alot of us stay in for 5 week hitches.

Try 14 on and 2 off if your lucky for 6 to 12 months. 12 + a day, sometimes 14 a day for 2 or 3 months at a time. Went 64 days straight at 12 hours in '96. 14 a day mandatory for 6 weeks in 2000. Longest shift : 53 hours.

wow! that translates into a "assload" of money

Most hours worked in one week: 150
Most hours worked in one month: 400+ Not sure I only billed the client for 396
Longest shift: 96hrs
Longest shift with no sleep: 56hrs

I put in 3,600 hrs last year on the time clock, you could add another 300-400 hrs for shit I didn't even bother turning in.

When I was an electronics store manager I worked from the day after Thanksgiving until January 15th without a day off for a few years. A couple of half days mixed in. Never did figure out how many hours since we didn't keep timecards.

Everyone is different in what they value, and my time off is far more valuable than any double-time hourly rate.

On my days off, I just let the phone ring if it's work. Some morons I work with will work overtime almost every single day off they have. While they may pull in 6 digits, I'm far richer because of a healthier lifstyle---physically and mentally.
