What's the dumbest/funniest thing you've done in your quest for a better body?

It can be a training technique/style, some gimmick product, fad diet. You can say some supplement, but just about everyone of us has fallen prey to these. I'm lookin for something totally off the wall you've tried.

Mine's not that crazy, but stupid to me nonetheless. I remember for like a week I would take a spoonful of peanut butter, put it under my tongue for a few minutes, spit and repeat. I was at this stage where I was desparate to gain weight. I heard it would release insulin. All I knew back then was, "insulin can make you big." Even if its true, that's just a stupid ass idea. If I think hard, I'm sure I can come up with better ones.
 
The dumbest thing I've ever done is gone without squatting and deadlifting for the first year and a half of my training. Thank God I learned better.

Dont laugh.... ok When I was a buck fifteen I used to lift this 5 pound D-bell and do 500-1000 reps without stopping. Hehe the good ole days. I also did 1000 push ups a day then. My push up record as I vividly remember is 250 push-ups nonstop.
 
It's just too embarrassing ... I can't tell you. But, it's funny. Maybe when I know you guys better.:p

Okay, here it is stud:

Whenever I go out dancing, I find a hidden place near the club and do push ups for 20 minutes so that I'm pumped when my shirt comes off.:p :p :p

Sad, isn't it?
 
Man, can it be more than one?
Lets see,
Starving myself (went from 195lbs to 150 in 6 mo.)
Training same body parts every day for 5 days a week
Not doing squats
Over eating and partying while on a cycle

I think that's about it. I always gotta learn the hard way.:D
Though I don't really regret starving myself too much. I know I lost mass but shit I was just fat fat so it didn't matter. People who didn't see for a while before I lost the weight thought I was sick.

MAY---YOU WOULD BE SUPRISED HOW MANY PEOPLE I KNOW WHO DO THAT. IT IS KINDA FUNNY THOUGH. I DONT TAKE MY SHIRT OFF IN A CLUB. THEY ARE USUALLY HIGH CLASS AND WE WILL GET THROWN OUT FOR DOING THAT. BESIDES, IF I DID, THE GAY GUYS WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE. NO JOKE EITHER. WE WENT INTO THE CLUB CALLED 735 WHICH IS RIGHT NEXT TO A GAY CLUB CALLED OZ SO SOMETIMES GAY GUYS ARE IN IT. THEY FLOCK TO MY ACE AND DO DIRTY THINGS WITH THEIR TONGUES AT ME!!! EWWWWWWWW........BUT THAT IS ONLY THE SLUTS I THINK CUZ ANY SELF RESPECTING GAY MAN WOULDNT DO THAT SHIT RIGHT???!!!

In San Francisco, it was only the tourists who behaved badly and would dog good looking guys like that. The locals would never do it because they had to live there and live with the consequences of being a jerk.

Other guys do the push up thing? I've never seen it except that my ex-bf turned me on to doing that. When we were doing drugs, we'd go to the parking lot, do a bump, have a wee bit of sex, then do push ups before going back in. :)
 
Ok ok, I admit it, when I was in highschool, I used to do dips in the stall w/ the handicap bars..haha...

Stupidest thing of course was trying to deadlift that eighth rep w/ 315 when I knew I couldn't and then slipping and being fucked up for 6+ months.
 
Dude I don't know if this counts but once I was cutting weight for A tounement and I didn't feel like putting on the sweats and working out so I ate A whole shit load of ex-lax( no pun intended)I counld'nt stop shitting all night I had to get A chair and prop it up in front of the toilet to put my head on it and just slept. on the toilet all night:eek:

Taking a whoppping 3cc of sten when I was 17 and expecting to get HUGE! For those of you who dont know that is a devastating 150mg of test a week. I ate all kinds of fast food and got fat as shit.
 
I beleived all the ads in muscle magazines. To think of all the money I could have saved, makes me wanna cry.
