Whats jail really like?

I am pretty sure in PA that any sentence over 12 months is automatically a State prison and not a county

But sometimes they will run things concurrant or time served for somethings whilehaving to serve out the others...they seem to work round alot of stuff if you have the right attorny and judge

Federal prison is actually "better" as far as food/living conditions from what I've heard from those who have first hand experience. Also, the Supremme Court recently struck down certain provisions of minimum mandatory sentencing in fed cases, which is also good for you. A first time non-violent drug offender receives more time on average than a rapist or child molestor under federal minimum mandatories.

I've had a few friends get locked up, one for five yrs at a med. security pen.
They have all said the same thing, it's not like the movies. If you mind your
buisness and stay outta the way you should be fine...

oh and don't fuck up. ohterwise you'll be sent to maximum (level 5 is it?) pen. that's where you get treated like a dog, locked up 18 hours a day, and it's very violent.

Over 12 months will be prison. Prison is a better place to be than county, relatively speaking.

You got caught with a large amount intened for distribution. Did you have the weed baggied off already? If so, you're in pretty deep.

You will probably get some of the charges dropped, but not all of them. You will be serving time if you're not rich or come from a powerful family. How much, no one can say. Your goal will be to get the minumum time possible. Talk to multiple attorneys and find out who's willing to do the most for you. Figure out what kinda plea bargin you will be doing. You might be able to get down to a few months and five or so years CS. You will likely get out early on probation as well.
