What's better for overall cardiovascular health?

I don't know much about this, but I was wondering what would be better for cardiovascular health? Jogging long distances, or more sprinting and strongman type events. Who would be have a lower resting heartrate, better lung capacity, lower bp, and just a better cardiovascular fitness level. Would running for an hour or longer be more benefical than say, flipping a tire for 15 mins. I'm not talking fat loss or muscular development, but improved health. Any ideas?

High intensity cardio is better for overall health as it builds V02 max and critical power. Low intensity cardio is just burning calories.

Ok, that's what I was wondering. By low intensity, are you talking about less than the target heart rate?

IMO, I think jogging long distances would be better for overall cardiovascular health then say, flipping a tire. I'm just thinking about it logically. A marathon runner (jogging long distances) seems to be in better cardiovascular health than a strongman (flipping tires). Since you are not talking about burning calories, fat or muscle development then who burns more calories is irrelevant.

My 2 cents

in high school for track our coach would have up play all kinds of games for conditioning, like dodge ball, hand ball, wiffle ball, basketball, we'd make up fun relays and do that, we also played football untill i tackled the sprints coach and broke his ribs, lol, we didnt play football anymore after that.

i do know this, all the wrestler ive ever known have had excellent conditioning.
