You are absolutely right Ray. I lived the first part of my life in ignorance. I believed what my parents told me, what my teachers told me (private school), and what my pastor told me.

I didn't realize it was all predicated on lies and violence. I didn't realize that there are OTHER cultures and belief systems out there, I didn't realize that I was living with my head stuck in the sand, ignorant of the world around me.

Like I've said before, you do what you need to do. Religion has been proven to be something that people NEED. Of course you want to think that there is something after death. Of course you want to think you have a purpose in life, especially if it seems like nothing else is going well. Of COURSE you want to think you will one day see loved ones again that have passed. If you think Jesus can do that for you, great man.

Time for a hijacking. I want to talk about BEER! Specifically KEGS ... multiple, cold and imported. I'm having a party tomorrow evening, and the kegs just arrived about an hour ago! I won't be drinking much at all, but the 150 or so people who RSVP'd are some hardened alcoholics, having been conditioned on some of the harshest swill known to mankind. Pictures of the aftermath will be forthcoming......
