If she found out because I was careless and left evidence around I'd feel like I fucked up twice, once by cheating, 2nd but not covering my tracks.

but if I found out she hacked my email or something, I would be thankful because I'd know there was no trust in the relationship!

I don't cheat by the way, just talking about hypotheticals.

Hypothetically, you are still justifying your actions through hers, after the fact.

Best to man up and move on before you cheat. Everything that happens after is the cheater's fault.
If your scenario did occur, you would have fucked up three times, not breaking up before you got with someone else would be the first.

That being said, I hate when someone I am dating hacks my emails. For some reason, guys always do this -- hack your email, read posts on internet sites, etc. It's always innocent stuff and then it just puts up a wall between us because I'm bitter about the invasion of privacy.

i agree with you. nothing justifies the cheating, my point is that it would make me feel less guilty about it. still doesn't justify it.

well I guess I am wrong and I am right in this situation. I maybe should not have gone into his personal e-mail but it was open. Not like I had to sit there trying to figure out his passwords and such...it was there in the open for all the world to see.

that happened to me once with my ex when we lived together. she went to bed, i was still up, went to the computer, and there was her email program open and available.

I closed it immediately. I didn't even look at the subject line of any emails.

nope..yahoo mail. he stayed logged onto messenger and when he does that, his mail pops up. Thats how I saw it.

I didn't mean it that way, Feisty. I don't think you were wrong in the least. He gave you a damned good reason to snoop. In my case, the guys don't have any good reason to do so and just read every damn thing I ever write. It drives me nuts. It feels like having a tracking device or a bug in your pocket. Your case is way different. He was practically begging you to catch him. Either he is inordinantly stupid or on some level he wanted to be caught because he has one foot in and one foot out of the relationship.
