There are many reasons why Europe could be fucked for the future, as are there for the US. People of any time predict poop flying around in the future though. I´m not going to worry too much about it and work and hope for the best.

I learned a valuable lesson with mine, they are my parents but they are also adults & husband and wife. Whatever is going on in their relationship did not affect how they raised me and it still doesn't. When shit hit the fan with my parents, the only involvement I had was legal advice (to protect both of them), otherwise I didn't let what happen change my view of my Dad nor my Mom. I was the only child (out of 3) that was sane and unemotional (someone had to be).

I assume your parents have been married for years. You will be surprise what arrangements, an issues marriages like that both parties would put up with. He may be hitting up the tutes hard, but I'm sure he would still kill & die for Mom (that is what's important).
