My following are sore

Lats
Legs
Hams
Glutes
Calves
Arms (bi and tri)
Delts
Traps
Chest

WTF?
 
bro...what do you do for a living?perhaps,it's time for you to take a break(1 week perhaps) from the gym.in many instances,we overtrain,not due to our training,but due to work related stress,family problems,etc.
in addition,tune in on your diet and make sure that you are consuming enough quality protein,carbs and efa's.
how are you training at the present time?please advise!perhaps we can help you out w/ more detail than stated above???
 
Im cutting , and that seems to be the problem. Im in an elite HS and I'm planning on getting into Ivy League, so that's stressfull as is.

My diet consists of 60 mins cardio first thing in the morning.
=Calories/Protein/Fats/Carbs=

MEAL 1
2 eggs+1white = 166/15.5g/10g/2.4g
1 WW bread = 69/3g/1.2g/13g
TOTAL= 316/18.5g/11.2g/36.4g

MEAL 2
2/3 c rice - 30 g carbs
1/2 can tuna (280g)= 176cals/32g prot/4g
TOTAL= 320cals - 37g protein

MEAL 3-5
Same as meal 2, with variations of tuna (chicken breast)

MEAL 6
1 can tuna (280g)= 352cals/64g prot/8.1/0

+1 daily tbsp of olive oil (cant get flax)

TOTAL - 2071 cals, 207.5g prot / 50g fat / 133g carbs

My workout is before meal 5.
I cannot get a whey shake (prices are outrageous in France, both to buy in stores and to import [taxes are out of the question for my budget]).
Sparing me the French criticism, what's wrong?

i sympathize w/ not being able to get whey protein...but that's not the only problem w/ the diet.that diet can't possibly be supplying the energy you require to function.you will lose weight on this one but will lose muscle as well, therefore slowing down your metabolism...therefore making it harder to cut up.the problem with soreness is your DIET and now i'm 100% sure of it!i think in your case,you should consume a 40(protein)-30(carbs)-30(fats) ratio,so that your body gets what it needs to function and create an optimal fat burning effect all through the day.let me know if you need a detailed nutrition schedule...i'm just not sure what's available in your country.fyi

I thought what I was doing was correct.
I have lots of protein, considerable amount of fat, correct calories (amr - 500 ) i just dont get it.

Are you hitting any bodyparts more than once a week?

It's odd that you are getting that sore all over...

What's your training split look like?
 
MON chest tris shoulders
WED legs
FRI back, bis, traps, forearms

I dont know, but they are much less sore than what they were, but they are still sore, and ive been told not to train if sore.

What gives?
 
looks like you missed abs, could do them still. Sometimes I get that way, I'm not really sore but I know its too soon to train a body part again. Finally got my split as follows


1: chest/tri (done in that order)
2: back/bi (done in that order)
3: Legs
4: stomach, lowerback (I miss lower back on back day)
5: Shoulders, and anything I happened to miss, mabe extra cardio.

Sometimes day 4-5 get flipped around a bit or mixed and matched. Days 1-3 are always the same.

Cardio I do everyday in the morning.
I'm usually good to go back to day 1 by the time I'm done with day 5

mabe some foot raises (put a weight at the end of the top of your foot near the toes and lift it up keeping your heal on the ground) strengthening that helps prevent getting the shin pains runners experience. Its such a small muscle it heals very fast

RECOVERY

If just one body part is sore it should recover faster than it would if you have many muscles sore. Your body cannot repair every muscle at the same time efficiently. If your entire upper body is sore, don't think, "well I can still work legs" cause now everything is sore and it will probably take twice as long for your upper body to recover. You are much better off throwing in an extra skip day than you are to overkill and have to take off a week, however a week off is good every now and then. I'm not saying that you can't work legs if your back is sore or don't work chest if your legs are sore, but try not to get where everything is sore at once.

I agree with big thinker. If you are doing 60 mins of cardio and training with weights than you don't need to subtract 500 cals from your amr. Do you do cardio everyday? If you can get whey, eat egg whites after training, with some fruit juice and honey. On non-training days don't eat this post workout meal. You need to reavaluate your diet. Have you found a way to eat at school without being spanked?:D

Very true. Each body part/muscle group is NOT a closed system. Nothing operates in a vacuum. Think of it this way... You're nervous system has to recover after every workout, everyday you train. It's not like shoulders or legs which have an entire week to recover.
 
guys,anyone can clearly see that his diet is the problem...!you are what you eat and this is especially true in bodybuilding.i beleive that DIET is 90% of the equation to obtaining the body we truly want.
there's just no way blood drinker can recuperate on tuna and 2/3 cup of rice...blood drinker,please supply your stats(height,present weight,bf%,etc) and i will plan out something for you...o.k.?DIET IS THE KEY TO CHANGING YOUR APPEARANCE...IT IS FOR THIS REASON WE CONSTANTLY SEE PEOPLE TRAINING HARD IN THE GYM W/ ALMOST NO RESULTS YEAR AFTER YEAR...BECAUSE THEIR DIET STINKS...HENCE,THE SAME LAME ASS BODY YEAR ROUND.LET'S GET TO WORK.

I dont know what bf %entage i am, but realistically, i can grab two handfuls at my lower abs of fat.
If i pull those down i can see my abs.

i will be having an eca stack along with 60 mins morning cardio 5 times a week + 3 days training.

I know only one measurement:
I have a fucking gut, I have tried so hard and I find it so frustrating to find out that ive been doing it all wrong. I guess it's just part of the learning cycle, but damn it's a bitch.

I still don't understand why you want to get cut, but I guess you made up your mind. You are severely overtraining and undereating Imo. After all you have gone through, you still weigh 165. Time for a change. At least you have the discipline. That's half the battle.
 
I believe your problem is that at your age Dieting( Cutting ) is, in my opinion not wise. You are at in the most naturally anabolic stage of your life. Remember that muscle burns fat, therefore I would be trying to gain mass. If you gained 10 lbs of muscle I promise that the gut you have will not be nearly as prominant. If you train to a point where you are getting that sore you must feed your body an overabundance of food. Now, this should be nutritious foods but some extra calories are ok!!. Save cutting to the point where you have enough mass to sculpt. This is the time to grow bro, take advantage of it LOL
 
treat yourself to a steak. you're too young to deprive yourself of the good foods/pleasures in life. Don't go out and eat everything. But go ahead and eat "fun" food once in a while. Otherwise when you're 25 you're going to be burnt out and forget about the gym. Life is a marathon not a sprint. Patience in a virtue. You have your whole life to sculpt the body you want. Have fun while your young

Le grand penseur, person l'a insulte, on a simplement dit qu'il ne devrait pas s'occuper de son petit ventre. S'il mangeait un peu plus, Il pourait developer ses muscles et perde son gras en MEME temp. A son age, c'est possible. :)

Anyway, what I'm trying to tell you Blood is that you are getting to strict on the dieting, something that is holding you back. If you read my post "Cutting diet made easy..." on the diet board, you will see that I made the same mistake. You can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. We'll just design your diet primarily for fat loss, and secondly for muscle gain. It is possible.

I'll be glad to help you out.

How about 198g of carbs and 250g of protein on non-training days and you add 60g of carbs on training days, with I don't know 40g of fat? That would be roughly 2200 cals on non-train. days and 2450 on train. days.

I'm just throwing ideas at you.

meal#1 meal#2
6 egg whites 6oz tuna
1 oz non fat cheese 1 small salad
1 cup grapes 1 apple
1 pc ww toast 1 pita bread
1 tsp olive oil(w/ egg whites) 1 tbsp light mayo
1/2 tsp natural peanut butter 3 olives(chopped)

meal#3(aft.snack) meal#4
1oz turkey breast 6oz lean hamburger meat
1/2 orange 1oz non fat cheese
3 almonds tomato/lettuce/onion slice
2 pcs ww bread
1 apple
4 macadamia nuts(hope you can get these,cause they're great!!!if not,sub w/ 6 almonds)

meal#5(snack 1 hour prior to bed)
1oz turkey breast
1 cup strawberries
6 peanuts(non-salted)

o.k...try this exact diet for at least 4 weeks and supply a weekly update...so that i can make changes if necessary.drink 8oz of water 30 min's prior to your meals and snacks...not during!make sure you drink at least 8-8oz glasses of water daily and let me know if you are taking any fat-burners(i hope not at your age!!!)
you should be training 3-4 times/week and forget about your 60 min's cardio nightmares.3 25 min sessions is plenty at your age,along w/ your weight training.any questions...ask!at your age,losing your gut and gaining quality muscle will be a sinch...DO NOT OVERDUE ANYTHING AND DON'T MAKE IT HARDER THAN WHAT IT REALLY IS.FYI...OH! AND GOOD LUCK.:)
 
I like the big thinker's diet, but I had already worked on yours, so I might as well post it.;)

Main sources of protein:

Split thru day: 2 big-ass cans of tuna, 14 egg whites, and 1 yolk = 180g of protein

Oatmeal+ww bread+rice = rouglhy 20 g of protein

40 g of protein by chicken/shrimp/turkey in Meal 4


C/P/F

Meal1:

6egg whites, 1 yolk
Oatmeal (40 g of carbs)
Small apple(20-25g of carbs)
Cinnamon

60/32/9


Meal2:

2 slices of ww bread (or another bread like flaxseed bread) (30-35g of C, 5g of P)
2/3 can of Tuna(I hope it's in water)(43g of P, 5g of carbs)
1 tablespoon of reduced fat Miracle Whip( 3g of F, 3g of C)
Green-Red peppers diced, Green-Red onions, Celeri, Carrots (5-10g of C)


50/48/6


Meal 3:


2/3 cups of rice(30g)(I don't know what rice you are eating but 30g seems to low for 2/3 of a cup, 5g of P)
2/3 can of Tuna(I hope it's in water)(43g of P, 5g of carbs)
Juice from a lemon

35/48/4


Meal 4:

Banana(7-8inches long)/apple (30 g of carbs)
Turkey/Chicken/Tuna AGAIN!/Extra lean ground beef (the last 2 are not recommended) (40g of P)/ You can use Mrs Dash(it's a spice)
Vegetables(5-10g of carbs)

40/40/3-6

Train( You better train like a bitch!)


**Meal5(right after Training):

2 boxes of apple juice(250ml each) (60g of carbs)
8 egg whites(28g of P)( you can get liquid egg whites in cartons, btw)

60/28/1

Meal 6( 45 min to 1 hour later):

Salad, (no tomatoes, no cheese, maybe a little balsamic vinegar)(15 of carbs)
2/3 of a can of Tuna(43g of P, 5g of C)
2-3tbsp of olive oil, or maybe a few almonds

20/43/8-12


Meal7:

20-30g of protein from shrimp. I really hope you can get this. Go for shrimp that is 21% protein

0/20-30/0-2

**Note: -Meal 5 is different on non training days: Don't drink the Juice!!!
-Interchange meal 5 with meal 6 on non-training days.
-You can make an omelette with the 8 egg whites using different vegetables like mushrooms, peppers and onion. I know they like mushroom omelettes in France!

Well that's about it, drink 4-5 liters of water in between meals. The more you drink the better your body will look. Don't add any extra salt. At least try not to.

I have previously taken hydroxycut to no avail, yet it improved my concentration a lot for the beginneing days. then the ephedrine loses its CNS stimulatory effect. After that happens, any info on what will happen next?

I beleive that a fat burner works best with a low carb diet. I probably shouldn't have said what I said, but the low carbs were probably what mess with my concentration in class. That's what I meant. Just disregard it.
 
Oh and you will become dependent on them. I cannot function properly without my ec stack. That's why I will take it until the end of school. I cannot afford to have withdrawl symptoms right now.
 
I didn't get *ONE* withdrawal symptom from hydroxycut, so chances are I'm fine with Xenadrine.

May I still take it with this diet?

2) Why the shrimp at meal 7? Why specifically shrimp?
 
Shrimp protein, like most meat sources, is slowly absorbed by the body. You will not be eating for another 9-10hours. I recommend shrimp as a last meal because it is low in fat and high in cholesterol. This will boost your hormones while you sleep. Fat also boosts hormones in the body, but cholesterol will not make you fat.

Another reason is that shrimp is easily cooked and eaten.

Why do you use these types of supplements at your age:confused:

Seriously, you can make incredible gains right now without any supplements.

Some bb become depend on eca to have a good workout, and you don't want to be one of those guys. I realise that some days, you feel lethargic, and you need a boost.

This is what I would do, use 1-2 teaspons of coffee blended with a lttle COLD water. Don't chug it, but drink it very fast 20 mins before leaving for the gym. Use this very sparringly, when it's the only thing that will get you to the gym. Don't abuse it.

Don't worry on things as trivial as supplements. Worry about your training.

Btw, are you taking a week off before you start dieting? You should.

I pisses me off though, I already went through the trouble of importing some eca, and now im told not to talk it!!!:bawling:

1) BTW, what hormones are spiked by cholesterol?
2) What's the use in spiking these hormone levels? Increased glycogen depletion??
 
Why do you think people use synthetic hormones, aka steroids? They are responsible for muscle growth, and other anabolic properties. You must remain in an anabolic state at all times.

lol but in any case, we only get one lunch break in school. so i come to class late all the time, and the schedule has it so that I manage to be late ALWAYS for the same class (and some others as well, but for one class im always late).

What should I do? Should I talk to my teachers about what I' m really doing? I always tell them I was chatting in the hallway with my gf...but now teachers think it's compulsive. If I tell them the truth, obviously it's unnacceptable (im there to learn, not to cut) and so I will prolly get supervised, which is out of the question.

I need a better excuse.

DON'T tell your teacher! Nobody is going to "understand" that you need to eat 7 times a day. Lol! The hardest part of a diet is what ppl say around you. Get ready to get a lot of shit from jealous ppl, and ppl like your parents that are genuinely concerned.

Eating this much meat will scare them. Explain that although meats are high in cholesterol, you are eatiing between 300-400mg of cholesterol which is the accepted value.

Better excuse. Hmmm... How about something like the doctor put you on a strict diet because of some kind of liver, kidney, pancreas disease... I really don't know, but if you do use that excuse, make sure you research a disease that will make SENSE. Buy some vit E or C, make it look serious... You may need a doctors note.

I take 2 adipo pills in class, I put them in a prescription bottle and nobody dares to ask what they are for. Hell, I could be poppind Dbols for all they know.

I made sure that Meal 2 and 3 are easy to eat. A tuna sandwich and tuna mixed with rice. It doesn't get any easier... Unless you had access to powders...

And 35andfeel19, you don't really learn this off a website. I have spent the last 3 years of my life studying nutrition and training around 2-3 hours a night. I have a scientific background and I've always been a very fast learner when I apply myself.
 
Oh yeah, urinary problems always freak ppl out... Stick the sandwich in your pocket and take an imaginary leak. With all the water you will be drinking, you will have to go to the washroom several times. Urinary problems... Look it up.

on friday, this week, i shall be starting. i will have to incorporate ONE cheat day since i go out once a week (i won't go overboard, i just don't wanna eat 8 meals when going out on a date, it's really disconcerting to someone that does not understand :)

How it works out is depends on you. On that "cheat day" eat 5 meals.

Imagine some guy that comes into the bathroom and hears you eating tuna as fast as you can in a stall! Lol! I can't get that image out of my head!:FRlol:

Ps: I wasn't kidding about what I said, I have used the urinary problem as an excuse before in High School.

im chugging my tuna, and obviously the smell diffuses across the bathroom. The druggies walk in, and start talking about the nasty fish smell !

And big thinka, i can't say im hungry. I got 5 mins to eat it, which isn't enough, consequently i am always late. that's how it works.

what urinary probs did you have big andy?
that sound really good as I will have to be going too often for a bathroom break, even after 10 mins of being late!!!

I was drinking 4 liters of water a day, and i really needed to go to the bathroom at nearly every class. I grew up in Montreal and High School ends grade 11. The problem was that I was a total fuck up in grade 8-10 and all the teachers knew this. When I would ask to go to the bathroom, it was to smoke a joint or a cigarette with my friends in the backyard. I would be gone for 40 minutes sometimes, and when I would come back to class, I would hold my stomach or make a disgusted face to give the impression that I had just taken a major dump.

One day in the 10th grade, I'm on a "bathroom" break, and I told the teacher that I needed to get some paper. After about 10mins, he shows up outside, and I have no where to go. He yells: "What are you doing!", and I say "I'm looking for some paper!".

What was my point again???... Oh, so grade 11, I clean up my act and I pick up BB. I needed to eat and piss several times a day, BUT I COUDN'T GO TO THE BATHROOM! My reputation had spread to every teacher. I couldn't take a fucking leak anymore.

So I used a prescription bottle, and made up the excuse that and I quote: (Looking very concerned and a little embarassed)"The doctors don't really know what it is Miss. They think It may be hereditary. I need to take these pills(show her the pills) or I will have kidney problems." I would sneak some food and eat it in the bathroom, and take a nice piss. This story can also justify all the water I was drinking in class.

I need to remind you that I am an expert actor(liar, whatever same thing), and there was no way a teacher was going to call my bluff. Be careful, French elite HS teacher will most likely not beleive you unless you performance is flawless. Just try to find something, and look embarassed and teary-eyed.

I was discussing the diet plan with my mom. She agrees to it all, except the 14 daily egg whites. You see, in France we don't have the liquid cartons, which means we have to throw away 14 yolks / day, something that is not in my mom's book of ethics.

1) What could replace the egg whites? She is willing to import whey at an outrageaous price.

2) Is there such thing as powder egg whites? you know, you mix with water, and out comes liquid egg whites? That'd be perfect, I'd buy LOTS when I go to the US (soon).

What do you think?

Wow, you better buy your mom something nice on her birthday!

Whey protein is a BETTER choice post workout. You can mix it with the juice.

That leaves you with breakfest. You can mix some whey protein in the oatmeal and eat a whole egg.
 
What about in the morning?
Will two eggs+1white + the rest of the stuff you outlined, is that ok as a morning meal? Cuz I wanna save up on the whey, and plus, I love eggs !

What's your answer to the powdered eggwhites?
 
You could have 1 egg + 1 egg white(extra large). That's 10g of protein. You get 4g from oatmeal, so you would need about 20g from whey.

I've never heard about powdered egg whites so I can't comment. Just make sure that they aren't powdered whole eggs. Again, eat as many egg whites as your mom will tolerate. She has been very understanding, her request is fair. Each egg white has 3g of protein and an egg has 6 plus 5g of fat.
 
I officially started today, Sunday May 20, 2001.

One question Big Andy. In your diet, you have a banana in meal 4. Why? Is this a pre-workout carb?
Why the hidden sugar, wouldn't I do better with a HI GI carb, such as WW bread? Or is the banana simply for variety? Will it affect anything? Or, is it just simply because I need the carbs to build muscle (as this is a gain muscle lose fat diet?)

Lots a questions in one, hope you got that.
 
The banana is for conveniance. It only takes a few seconds to eat. You can eat it in the bathroom no problem. The real reason is that you move from complex carbs in the morning to more simple carbs pre and post workout, to carbs from vegetables in the evening to no carb at all.

You need fruits in your diet.

i did read the whole post ... you talk about diet and all that eating. .. but even if you have a good diet and supplement .. you can still get sore over ... HAVEN'T YOU CONSIDERED the problem of Overtraining ... well ... only you will know... but there is such a thing as resting as growing ...

I have the most complete supplements from Isopure protien , glucosamine, creatine, glutamine, flax, etc, etc. ... all to avoid muscle fatigue and joints ... but because I work out with intensity ... soreness still occurs... and when you don't know when to stop .. you won't grow ... Been there, done that ....

you are 15 and I'm 37 and have been working out for 20 years ... I know what i'm talking about.

I will definetely get sore. Yet I think that this diet will fix that Overtraining problem . My training split goes

M1: chest, shoulders, tris
M2: Cardio
M3: Back, Tras, Biceps, rear delts
M4: Cardio
M5: Legs

Perhaps I will add some cardio after every work out. I already have incorporated 60 mins of cardio in the morning (never EVER more). I know it is not necessary to go for that long , but I feel it is better for me.

Suggestions?
 
i think the cardio will definitely help ease the soreness ...

anyway, intensity training should be done no more than twice a week ... the rest should be just to pump your muscles ... using light weights ....
 
Blooddrinker, I have the perfect excuse for needing to eat all the time. All you have to tell them is that you are hypoglycemic. Basically, the body can't absorb sugars properly which gives you a low blood sugar. The solution, eating plenty of small meals throughout the day. I was diagnosed with mild hypoglycemia when I was in school and was then able to actually eat in class. I told all my teachers I had to eat every 2 hours and not one of them gave me a problem.

Yeah, throw in 10-20 mins of moderate to high intensity cardio after your workout, except on leg day. As soon as you are done drink the whey, apple juice shake.

I went to a specialty store today bros.
They had German whey protein. That was the only whey they had, the others were lactose protein or some unheard of shit.

My grams of product to protein ratio is 100:80, so for 100g of product, I get 80g of Protein, + 8g of L-Glutamine. Sounds pretty nice...although I know designer has 22g - 18g prot. That beats mine, but it's the best I can do. Very low carbs like 2.5g.

I'm back, everything has been resolved, btw.

80% protein is not all that bad actually, it's high quality concentrate or low quality isolate, but it really doesn't matter. You can now substitute(if it is financially sound), Meal 4 with a shake. That's just an opition, that I wouldn't exactly recommend.

Was it really expensive?
 
It's 200FF (33$US) for 700g. Damn expensive compared to the US , damned cheap versus the casein and "lactose protein (wtf>?)" they have around here.

I would definetely like subbing meal 4 with that shake, however do I stick in the banana in with the shake?

BTW, I finished the first week. In the mornings, I can see my obliques (obviously still covered with some fat) but you can see them when I flex them (slightly).
My legs are gaining lots of power and definition as well.

I have a question though. My legs after working them out are sore for about 5 days. Trained them on Wednesday, and on Sunday, soreness is not 100% gone. How do you guys deal with looking pathetic as you walk? When I go out EVERYONE in the streets comments on how fucked up I walk (with a limp, or whatever). It doesn't piss me off, and I'm not going to give up or anything but damn, I do look pathetic, I got to admit. What do you guys do ???
 
No, eat the banana seperately, it will smell too much in the shake.

Well how much cardio are you doing? I willing o bet its 4-5 times a week. If so don't train your legs so hard. Give it another week actually, your body is still getting use to all that cardio.

welcome to the "sacrifices" of dieting and training to look as lean as possible.keep eating well and the soreness will go away.are you incorporating sprints into your cardio??not sure on the cardio routine you've incorporated but please advise.:)

Im 34, 225 , 6ft, 155 bf.

Sounds reaonable til you see my gut and lovehandles. i just can't shift em! i'd really appreciate some help here.

Diet-

Meal 1- 5egg/w + 1 yolk, bowl of oats (both with skim milk), cup tea.

Meal 2- 130g tuna(40gr prot.) in 2 slices white bread.

Meals 3/4 as meal 2.

Meal 5- Chick breast, veg or beans, pots.

Meal 6- 5 egg whites/ 1 yolk-300mls skimmed milk'

TRAIN SCHED.

dAY 1- Chest,should,tris

( INC. D/BELLS, FLAT BENCH,DIPS- MILITARY PRESS(1 SET),SIDE RAISES, FRONT RAISES- CLOSE GRIP BENCH, SINGLE ARM SKULL CRUSH, DIPS)

dAY 2- Back, biceps, abs

(DEADLIFT,CLOSE GRIP PULLDOWN, D/BELL ROWS- BARBELL CURL, SEATED D/BELL CURLS, CONC. CURL- CRUNCHES,LOWER AB WORK)

Day 3- Legs, traps

( SQUAT, LEG EXT. CALF RAISES- B/BELL SHRUGS, UPRIGHT ROWS)

I TRAIN STRICT, INTENSE , MED TO HEAVY WEIGHT, 2 SETS PER EXER. 6-8 REPS.

My cardio is pretty cheap cardio. I have no access to equiptment and my bitch mom gets woken up if I go outside, so I'd rather not wake her up every morning at 5.

In my room, I jog in place for an hour to some music, do jumping squats (squat ass to the floor with no weights, jump up , return, keep on doing this till you're dead) jumping jacks all non stop for one hour or 45 mins.

That's my cardio routine. And yes, sometimes I sprint in place. Should I do that INstead?

o.k...in my opinion,your joints will start to suffer...your cardio is too much...if you are stuck on doing 45-60 min's,stick to speed walking or something that creates less of an impact on the joints.fyi:)

Wed: Back, Bis, Traps, Forearms, Rear delts
Fri: Legs

Not the whole split, but MON incorporates too many exercises using tris, and a buddy @ my gym told me I'd see better gains as I could start with much more strength. I feel he is correct. However, I keep my routine like so as I am scared of overtraining (don't get me wrong, I'm very intense, but my arms MUST grow, and I don't have time to spare for experimenting right now, no patience - you understand , it's beginnner enthusiasm).

I'm gonna weigh myself tomorrow morning see how I progressed. (I know it doesn't mean much compared to BF%, but I don't have access to all those facilities).

Oh and also:
I would like to replace Meal 2 and Meal 4 for a protein shake, this way I won't be late to class. I could give a rats ass about $$...I'll go broke for this.

Is it possible?

For example, instead of Tuna sandwich, I have 24g whey + 2/3C Oatmeal, which gives the amount of carbs specified. Suggestions? I think this is working....

How bad will my joints suffer? WTF , this is the only cardio I can do (that I can think of)
I mean I can do pushups etc, but I'd overtrain I think, as I would need to go for 1hr + . I have noticed today my left knee hurt slightly. I cannot go out for a walk wtf.
I hate "walks".

Can I take anything to make my joints feel better?

Also, after weight training, as BIg Andy suggested, I've been doing 15mins of INTENSE AS FUCK cardio. I do cross country training treadmill in Random mode (goes from intense to light) yet my target heart rate (so the machine says , for cardio) should be 170. Today I reached 200 and I kept it there. I'm scared this is not healthy. I broke a huge ass sweat. I love it. But ....is this too much? I don't care if this intense isn't necessary....it makes me feel hardcore. :D Answer?
 
Woah, how much cardio are you doing exactly??? Contrary to popular belief, it is very easy to overtrain on cardio. I never took cardio seriously myself, until I nearly fainted, and luckily I grabbed the safety switch my accident. At this point you need to decrease intense cardio. I've learned that after a week or so of dieting, intense cardio only leads to muscle loss. You should not be burning more than 200-250 cals in 40-45 mins. Forget the interval type cardio.

Why not split your workouts into 4?

My beginners split has helped Liberator put on 15 pounds of muscle. Ask him about it.
 
I don't know, in the morning I JOG in place for 30-40mins. Not really intense, but I end up breaking a sweat though....

Erm, the 15 mins after cardio were mad intense. That's to justify the short minutes.

I don't know, thing is I'm not THAT of a beginner. I mean your diets and routines aren't my first thing ever by all means. I've had plateaus etc. So right now the chest shoulder tris day isn't working. I will ask liberator about it though.

I consider anyone that has trained less than a year, a beginner. And if you've hit a plateau this early on, you are doing something wrong.
 
yeah my bicep "plateau" was that I wasn;t hitting all the areas of the bis.
But let me rephrase the question::
id rather do chest ALONE one day, quads alone too, shoulders alone as well, what about the rest?
 
Well at this stage, 4 times a week with be enough, so combine chest and tris, back and bis and forearms, shoulders traps and abs, quads, hams and calves.

for an update: I was 75kg(165lbs) at the start (morning weight).

Now I am 72kg (158.4lbs) and no (noticeable) muscle loss, instead, muscle gain! My upper chest is gaining nicely in size..............

I had to skip leg day due to a soccer match i had a bet on.....good thing is I won, and got my cardio workout ....

today is my cheat day (saturday june 2, 2001).
I had waffles for breakfast (SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT GOD DAMNED TUNA I EAT OBSESIVELY!!!)

Big andy you tell me to eat 6times on a cheat day. 6 cheat meals? surely i will regain the fat like this...
i do understand however that i shouldnt eat like apig, instead, eat like anormal person (kfc or whatever, but not three #5 Mc Donald combos) but 6 times a day seems excessive, as I will overload on calories.

Am I wrong about this?
 
Regular meals just break your pattern

What do you mean by "regular?" Regular, as in my normal diet you designed for me, or regular as in regular for normal people? If it's the latter, I would understand it shouldn't be a real "cheat" just normal eating. correct?
