What the FUDGE is wrong with my computer?

For the past five days, it takes like 20-30s. or longer to load a page when I'm on the net. It never used to do this. Actually, it was quite fast. Now its slower than hell. The only thing I did differently was delete some temporary internet files. Could that have done it? I don't know.
Also, has this site been slow since the new boards went live? I don't think that has helped my situation.

Any ideas?

yeah i think that should be it, your comp just needs to re-download all the files from the sites you noramlly visit.. thats what the temp files do, they keep them stored on your comp so its a speedier load on the pages (i think)

this board has many bandwith-hungry graphics, like all the avatars and attached pics. They are stored in the temporary folder until they change. Now it has to download it all again, so it appears to be slower.
You should click on the internet connection - icon and check the numbers, like how many data is transmitted. If that is going slower than normal, than your ISP is at fault or your computer or ?
