What Temps are You Dudes With Crotch Rockets Running?

Since my bike is a canadian model, it is based on celsius instead of farenheit and when I am running it on the freeway it shows 77 but when I get in a parking lot it hit 108 (last night in fact). I here the fan come on but it still stays about that temp. What temp hurts the motors any of ya'll know?

Thanks

I was about to post then I realized this is probably water temp and not oil temp (I ride an air-cooled bike).

For cars I know somewhere in the 220-230 range is when you start to worry. But if your bike has a fan, I don't think it's a problem. As long as you have a decent oil in there you'll be fine. As far as oil goes, does your bike have a wet clutch? COs if so don't mess with synthetics.

I am not sure if it has a wet clutch or not. I have only had it a week. Like you, I have always been a aircooled vtwin dude.

Mine hits 225-230F on hot days before the fan kicks in. The mechanics in town said not to worry as long as the fan kicks in and the temp starts to drop. If it hits 240 though, thats when one should pull over and let her cool down a bit. That is what I was told anyways.

So in celsias I shouldn't let it get hotter than 115 before I pull over. Ok. Thanks.

What kind of bike do you have?
