What stuff really works???

My buddy got into body for life last year. He has dropped 80lbs but now wants to put on muscle before he goes on a cruise in April. He will only take stuff that is legal. I haven't dealt with this stuff since Andro and nor andro and M1-t were all the rave. Obviously I helped him with his diet and protein intake, added glutamine and creatine to his supplements. But what can he take to really pack on the muscle???
 
food and protein intake is the absolute most important part of any regimen. for supplements, most are overhyped crap. creatine and glutamine is all that i take.

IMO supplements other than protein and creatine are almost worthless.

Which is why you should drop the glutamine. It is crap.

it might be crap but when I added it to my regimen it seemed to help. I didn't seem as sore in teh tendons or joints and my recovery seemed to increase. I took it with pre and post workout shakes.
 
glutamine may not have the muscle building potential of BCAA`s or other things but it is not crap because it doesn help lower cortisol levels, it helps with joints and tendons and over is an amino acid and our body needs and uses aminos real well, so regardless of its muscle bulding potential it still has some worth to it
