What Sides Can You Get From Using 3000+ Mgs/day Of Ala?

It's really unknown what those dosages will do. In Germany they have treated diabetics with 600 mg per day for decades without problems, though. Keep in mind that ALA is eliminated from the body in like a few hours. I'm expecting 100 grams of powder. Plan to try 2000-3000 mg per day. I've used it alot in the past but at 1 gram or less.
No, just the opposite I think. It improves insulin sensitivity* and it does not affect the body's production of insulin, I believe.
*Well actually the natural R form does. The S form can actually reduce insulin sensitivity. The ALA sold in stores is 50/50 R and S. But the overall effect seems to be positive.

I have taken 3000 mg a day for 3 weeks and have been off for 3 weeks or so. I have this new sensation from my eye's now. If I move them fast from one side to the other this nerve sensation ingulfs my complete head. Some times I can feel the sensation all the way to my arms. I have read that ALA gets nerve ending going that have failed in patients with certain neo problems. I feel that a few of my nerves in my eyes have crossed over to the wrong nerves. Has anyone else ran into this using ALA. Please take this serious, I am not kinding.
Well......I have to admit... I have been feeling this "sensation"
since Monday. I didn't know WHAT it was but assumed it may
have had to do with ALA. I also have been feeling SO fatigued
this week, that I thought I was coming down with something.
As a result, I missed gym time Mon, Tue and Wed. Just feel
like a flu coming on. Really sucks because I am getting AMAZING
results at the 3000 range per day! No shit, this stuff has worked
better for me then a LOT of drugs. Hope my eyeballs don't fall
out. That would suck.

Damn that is just rediculous! First off a dose that high is way too much for anybody. Secondly the person shuld do all the research and more before even thinking about fucking with stuff like that. Not crazzzy just STUPID!!! ~JT~

I am at 3000 a day with no sides. Unless you consider being leaner with no acne and better pumps sideeffects. I am going to drop off a bit for now, but i thinks its a placebo effect to your eyes. it reminds of a story when i was a kid. I left school because "when i would look in the sun it hurt my eyes" so my aunt (who picked me up) said "so stop looking in the sun you moron." Problem solved.

My eyes are doing weird things too. When I look in the mirror I look a little leaner and harder than I did a month ago when I started taking the stuff. Hope this is a permanent side effect.
