What should I get...

My favourite is the eliptical machines. But like musclemom says, dont get the heap ones. I had one and it broke down when i got to heavy hehe. The good ones take up space though, so that sucks. Stationary bikes has always been the staple of my diet down cardio. Its not the most entertaining way of doing cardio, but the bikes doesnt take up that much space. And i can play xbox while biking hehe.

That is why I thought of the bike too watch tv and do my cardio at the same time.

Thanks MuscleMom I didn't know treadmills were harder on yeah then walking out side. I had a recumbant and hated it I prefer a real bike feel for some reason I just push harder on it then a recumbant.

Bear in mind, YMMV, I'm willing to admit it could be my DJD, but I can't walk on a treadmill for much more than 20 minutes without pains starting. I can walk a lot longer outside without the same kind of pain.

If I were you, I'd invest in a good quality spin bike. The good ones operate super-smooth, which saves your joints some wear and tear...and they're quiet too.

I usually just run in place for 45 minutes and when im done I dont have anything to put away.you dont have to spend money for a spin bike, but you have to replace your carpet often.

If I had room I'd love a quality treadmill or Concept 2 rower. This is my cardio station.

I started taking the stairs at work twice a day. 8 floors is a great booty workout for a fatty like me.
