what should i do--video gamers out there

well i posted a while back about my dreamcast being busted...anyways i was contemplating this:

should I buy a PS2 (i can get them for 140 wholesale price) or just buy a controller for my new computer and play games on the PC?

my problem is is that i dont enjoy any video games unless its sports..like EA madden or EA live

speaking of which, is the EA NBA Live 2002 out yet for PC? if not when will it finally come out???

or should I just get the PS2?

I'm one to think that a PS2 is more of a need than a want. It's almost medical...isn't it??

Get the PC at another time. If you already have one that doesn't completely suck, then get the PS2.

he has a pc (obviously), he just needs a controller.

but the ps2 version of madden and live are good on ps2 and a ps2 is for video games and video games only.. better control and graphics etc...

go with the ps2!!! its well worth the price..

i too am a sports only type of gamer, but recently i have widened my scope... metal gear solid is very nice (but quick to solve). fifa is next for me or rugby...

hockey is better than live.

PS2 rocks, especially for EA Sports stuff. I've got Madden 2K1 and 2K2, and they're both great.

Personally, I don't think the EA Sports games work well on the PC, but that's just my .02.

I agree. Theoretically they should play better, but the game play is seriously lacking for sports games on a PC.

I played Chiefs vs. Titans a while back, and a buddy of mine got PISSED at that game. I had a game winning TD drive with about :45 left in the 4th.
