What makes clenbuterol illegal?

I have the most important question as to why in the world clenbuterol is illegal. I just dont understand why its like most other asthma medicine out their why is it so important to make it illegal. Can someone explain th eformula as to why or what it could do? Thanks.

I'm not certain, but I think it has to do with its really long halflife (it remains active for too long, atleast by FDA standards)

I'm guessing the FDA won't approve it because it has effects similar to those of ephedrine and people will probably be retards. Like some dumbass highschool kid will take 200mg before training in 100+degree weather and have a heat stroke/heart attack and die.

200mg now thats a defenate pounding. I think your right on that one. Although I find that many havent even heard of it. Also I was takeing 2 pills a day and rarely felt anything compared to 2 (old pre ban) hydroxy cut a day. So I just assumed it wasnt anywhere close but thats why I am posting to find out just as much as I can. Cause it just doesnt seem so bad it should be banned gotta be more to it so I am hoeping to get some more opinions on here fast. Thanks for the two so far.

According to the FDA, there are better medicines for asthma with fewer sides. That, coupled with the widespread recreational use, makes it a candidate for controled status.

Sad sad FDA they must do something about crack cocaine before they stop drugs that are far less addicting and bad for you. I mean seriousely would you rather see people jogging down the street looking healthy on Clen or some skinny ass freak running like a damn cheata down the street from some police. That why for some reason their gotta be something more to clen. Maybe you can become stong enoughf to resist regular restraint thus why they would ban such because the whole idea is to keep you weak like everyone else and let crack go by because it does most of the work for them. It's not FDA approved therefore it can't be prescribed in the US. It's not controlled, but if you are caught with it, it'll be confiscated for sure. It's prescribed in Europe commonly.

Confirmed. This is the reason the FDA will not allow it to be perscribed in the USA. But it is not a controlled substance.
