What kind of motor oil do you put in your car?

$87.90?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111one

FUCK THAT! I don't give a shit how much money I make, I would NEVER pay that much for an oil change. I would without a doubt do it myself every single time as I could not justify shelling out that much for an oil change.

Lets see you do that on a car 2 12 inches off the payment ,i can barely get my arm under it.
Besides i've seen some of these stations strip the threads on the plug, plus other stupid things.
If i pay 48 grand for an auto i think it deserves the best, why i shelled another 9 grand building a closed garage to put it in before i bought it!

FRAM filters suck!!!

Orange canisters of death!!!

Indeed. Wix is the way to go, or one of the many filters that are OEM'd by Wix. NAPA house brand is usually the most convenient way to find a Wix filter.

Agreed. I went with Carquest's brand = Wix

Her Civic is maybe 4 or 5" off the ground. I use a pair of ramps to drive it up on so I can slide underneath. I have to do the same with my car, which sits a little bit higher, if I want to get to the oil filter. That's one thing I do miss about my Blazer. I could pull myself under that car no problem.

That's not quite such a bad deal when you consider it's eight quarts of Mobil 1. It would be that much or more at Jiffy Lube even.

You should see what owners of dry-sump Porsche 911s pay for a dealer oil change...

How many times a year do you usually change oil in the Vette?

Porsche owners get raped left and right though. I wouldn't mind having an older 944 (they're just fun as hell) but it'd have to be late 70s early 80s. A friend had a 77 944 when I was in high school. Desipite it's age, the thing was still cool and hugged the road like it was on rails.

While we're on this subject....My "Maintenance Required" light in my 03 Civic didn't come on for over 10K miles. Got the car with 19.5K and the light came on somewhere around 30K. Havn't looked into if they've extended the intervals or not, but I know the standard on Hondas has been 7500 miles for the light to come on. Any ideas?
