I enjoyed living in europe, the german people were always so friendly

From age 12-18 everyone in my family had a snowmobile. Every weekend we'd go out to a cabin in Wisconsin and ride 10-12 hours a day on wonderful groomed trails. It was incredibly fun.

As a child, going out for breakfast with my dad and sister every Saturday and then going to this candy store in his old neighborhood. The owner of the store gave my sister and I lots of free candy and let us play Ms. Pacman for free.

As a teenager, taking the train into Manhattan to hang out and escape my boring life in Queens.

My dad's mom is this amazing 88 pound lady. She goes to mass 7 days a week. She has 8 kids and 23 grandkids. EVERY Saturday morning she bakes 6-8 loaves of bread. They come out of the oven at 1130. Sometimes when you go to bread there are 5 people there. Sometimes there are 30. I love that side of my family because I fit in so well. We're all really over the top silly loud people. That's a tradition I've always adored.

Bottom of the 6th (last inning), championship game, scored tied at 6, 2 outs, full count. man on 2nd. fouled off about 5 straight pitches. fastball, low and inside - right where I like em. crack! double over the centerfielder's head - game over. hero.

first ever baseball game with Pops. fenway - sox vs. yanks.

(wrote about this before) long story short, got into a fight at school with a kid that always "picked on" me, which my parents knew about. spent the night in the principal's office with my parents - not fun. silent drive home, me scared as hell in the back seat, waiting for pops to go off on me. we get home and my dad called me into his bedroom. more silence and fright. he walks up to me, looks me dead in the eye, and says, "Next time, hit him right here", as he pointed to the bridge of his nose.

Putting up X-Mas lights with my brothers every year while our Mom and Sisters baked X-Mas cookies and made us coffee. Then we'd have a snowball fight that soon turned into a full on, knockdown dragout brawl. One year, I got knocked out by the middle brother...I woke up and was like "Mom, why the fuck can't I see out of my left eye?" Then my oldest brother beat the hell out of the one that hit me...then him and my Dad got into it....us boys were hurting that year.

We used to go camping in the mountains and I loved going. I always had a favorite spot to camp and i was excited when we would get it
OR we would just go have a picnic or go fishing and on the way back there ws this little spot where you could stop and get food and stuff and wed get some ice cream....i always got rainbow sherbert
loved it

we would go on volksmarches every weekend, it was fun walking with my family, we'd talk, check out the local history, and the scenery was always good, not to mention the food after
