What is the saddest thing you have ever witnessed?

I'm not sure it's any more fair to judge JB's character by posts on a message board than it is to have others judge yours by the same means....

:whatever:

Really? If only I had been afforded the same.

Unless there is some other quantifiable means.... sorry, doesn't really mean jack schitt to me. Have you been continualy harrassed and hung out to dry by this person for NO OTHER REASON than because "he felt like it"?

You haven't been around to see some of this asstard's "finer posting".... basedc on nothing else than personal opinion by internet feeling of that moment in time.

seriously, you're out of your mind.....

harrassed...what?

i used to talk with you cordially.....i really don't even know where this is coming from. Everything I've ever voiced an opinion on has been based on something you told us....maybe you're confusing me with someone else.

Anything you say pussycat.

I was the one who offered you the olive branch after being harrassed unduly for years.

But if that is what it takes.... we cool. :)

of course not....the whole concept of the thread is pretty ridiculous....let's out-sad one another, while AAP gets his fill human interest sob stories.....and of course some of the usual suspects show up, posting the same crap that they should be posting on www.whogivesashit.com

Actually, not.

I started this because yesterday I mailed off my contribution again to
http://www.bryanshouse.org/

I was thinking this was the saddest thing that I have ever encountered. I started the thread to see what most people on here have experienced and the overwhelming responses had to do with death. Yes, death is sad, but a deeper sadness comes from life.

In case you didn't know, Bryans House is a home for unwanted babies that are HIV+. They never asked to be born, they never asked to be infected, and they never asked to be unwanted. But for whatever reason(s), they were left on doorsteps or at firehouses or malls or whatever. They were not desireable. Only because of someone else's opinion.

If you want your heart broken, you visit there and walk past the ward for the under 6 month old patients. They just look at you and instinctively stretch their arms out hoping you will stop and hold them. All they want is to be held close and cuddled. It is almost like at that early stage of development and age, they don't really "know" they are unwanted or undesireable, but yet somehow they "know" something isn't right and they only want someone to give them a few minutes of time to make them feel like they are loved and someone does care for them.

So continue on with the LOLing... if you have never experienced true sadness, I don't know if that makes you lucky or terribly unfortunate as you can't fully comprehend how your life is truly good.

Went to my little 8 yo cousins funeral who got his head run over by some 80 yo guy when he was working his first day as a crossing guard for his school.
oh crap!! Wow!

nothing bothers any of youse. until it happens to your fucking mom. or kids. and when your time comes, you'll go out just like you came in, kicking and screaming. everyone has a breaking point, and it amazes me why people always are in search of theirs....

To say that this thread is sad would be an understatement, but it's also helping me to be thankful that I don't have a story to post up. Well - at least I don't have a story as heart wrenching and horrible as some I have read.
