What is the saddest thing you have ever witnessed?

To say that this thread is sad would be an understatement, but it's also helping me to be thankful that I don't have a story to post up. Well - at least I don't have a story as heart wrenching and horrible as some I have read.

No matter how many unpleasant/painfull events occur in our lives there is ALWAYS someone who has it worse.

The mother whose only child died and the babies who will never know a mother. Hearing of people like this makes me feel that it isn't so bad for me, that I need to "man-up" and live another day and find a way to get to tomorrow because I never know which day will be THE ONE where it can all turn around...
