Most possession cases in the U.S. are misdemeanors. Possession with intent to distribute is a felony. It's a fine line between straight possession and possession with intent. There is no magic number as to what constiutes possession with intent; it depends on whether you live in Podunk City, USA or in a large metropolitan area.

Steroids are in fact a schedule III drug, but for whomever said they were the same as coke, sorry bro, but you are dead wrong. Coke and heroin, among other drugs, are schedule I narcotics. Schedule I drugs are substances that are very addictive, but with little to no medical use. Schedule II drugs include highly addictive drugs such as morphine and demerol, but with medical use. As the schedules get higher, the less addictive the substance are.
Steroids and coke do NOT carry the same types of punishments for possession and distribution. Please get your facts straight before you give somebody advice. Thanks.
