what is the formulia for measuring lean body mass

Using Skinfold Measurements

If you use skinfold measurements, use these formulas:

Males: Db (S3)= 1.10938-(0.0008267 * S3)+(0.0000016 *(S3)2)-(0.0002574 *age) Db (S7)= 1.112-(0.00043499 * S7)+(0.00000055 *(S7)2)-(0.00028826 *age)

Females: Db (S3)= 1.0994921-(0.0009929 * S3)+(0.0000023 *(S3)2)-(0.0001392 *age) Db (S7)= 1.097-(0.00046971 * S7)+(0.00000056 *(S7)2)-(0.00012828 *age)

General Formulas:% Body fat=[(4.95/Db) 4.50] *100 (Siri, 1961) % Body fat=[(4.57/Db) 4.142] * 100 (Brozek et al.,1963)

age?

Why is it taking age into account? That seems like a bodyfat measurement system for sedentary individuals, not the 'fit'.

I don't buy that stuff about getting fatter with age, I think its just cumulative unhealthy living.
