There is a lot of reasons. in fact some one like you java would fit the description.
puts a lot of time in the site,is respectful to others (well never makes personal attacks on others for fun). respected by peers in one of the forums. Helps members in some kind of way. Helps the site some how. Looked at by other mods and admin as some one that would work well with the rest of the team. Helps the mods and or admin. Has a positive attitude about the site and forums.
I mean there is a ton of reasons some one could be picked for a mentor spot. I think you fit some of the reasons.
Why don't you send a pm to people like ceo,kemex,alc,superqt,thainde and others and ask them why they feel they earned there spot as a elite mentor. Ya ask ceo you guys are friends right?
