What is the cost for HRT treatment?

I'm getting on in age and I'll probably be going for HRT in the next couple of years, but I'd like to know the costs associated with it before hand. I know it won't be covered by insurance so: How much for the initial/ followup doctor visits? How much for the hormones?

HRT costs:

If you do it yourself through trusted "sources", the weekly requirements are:
(1) 75-100 mg test prop
(2) 1 iu HGH eod
(3) 1 mg Amiridex split up over the week.
You should also have a blood test every three months.
It is forbidden to discuss such costs, but you can find pricing on this site and do it yourself. Click on the links. Ball park .... less than a monthly payment on a cheap car plus the testing.

If you do it through a clinic, I was quoted $1,200 per month on a 6 month special ... plus I had to foot the testing myself. All legal through an online MD. If you click on some of the online clinics, their price sheets are presented. Try Google ... HRT

If you do it through a Doc and insurance .... nothing but a prescription co-pay and the HGH. My co-pays average about $30 a month. Testing is free to me, but the insurance pays $1,600. My HGH is high ... I take Saizen ... It is supplied all legally at $200-300 p/month.

I look forward to the day that there is such a huge number of men needing this that knowledge goes up .... and prices come down.

HRT for women has been around for decades and is paid for by insurance.
