What is the Best Rap Music Artist.

Well, Wu Tang as a collective has unsurpassed talent because all of them are extremely talented linguists, writers, and producers. So I agree even though most of their solo careers as of late have been lagging.

Yeah...alone they're nothing great...but as a whole, no one compares.

BTW...what's your fav rakim song? I'm a fan of "when I be on the mic." "Guess who's back" is good too, and if i was from NY, I'd like "New York." Too bad I'm from boston...lol.

I like Flow Forever a lot, it has a nice laid back production to it.

I just wish that sometimes his content had more substance.

Where from in Boston? I used to live up near Salem.

I'm working in Beverly as we speak. I live right by fenway park though...kind of a shtty commute from there, but there's hardly ever any traffic cuz i'm going out when most people are coming in, and vice-versa in the afternoons.

No kidding, then you know of Hamilton/Wenham, the residence of all the uppity rich horse people in America.

'There is no best'. But if you were to put it to a vote among all rap fans, 2Pac would be miles ahead of everyone! simple as.

Biggie would'nt be far behind. But being that he died after only 2 albums, the only rappers (at this moment in time) that I could ever imagine rivaling Pac's popularity and catalogue are Nas and Eminem. Both are due to have albums out before the years end so it'll be good to see what they come up with.

That whole area seems like that too me...although most towns where I'm from are the same way (south shore), except my town.

Bor...this song is fuckin cool. I never liked it before, cuz it's not really my style. But I figured I'd give it a chance since you said you liked it, and listened to the whole thing (never have before)...it took some getting used to, but it's growing on me. :)

There is no rap music. The term music is related to the greek muses, in their functions involving lyricism, rhythm, melody, harmony . . . Rap has only rhythm reliably and lyricism occasionally. A rap album is no more an album of music than a collection of drum solos would be. Rap was originally an African-American protest performance art, derived from no talent, no education, no hope and no resources with a will to survive. But any importance has evaporated. Now it's just a clothing trend and commercial party enterprise. The "artists" are sad little Uncle Toms pandering fashion trends to still fundamentally racist white children for the financial gains of jewish owned and managed recording companies. It's just about money, ignorable if you love music. About as timeless as "Disco Duck".
