I hear all this crap about eatting lots of protien making you cramp, well before I even begin doing it what should I buy incase I start getting cramps? My fiber intake on my new diet if very low so I will probably need some kind of supplement (preferbly a pill of some kind or a veggie - is celery good? That has alot of thick vines in it that the stomach can't digest)

celary is good. The most popular supplement is probably the psyllium powder...it tastes like ass but it does the trick.

brocolli has a lot of fiber. salad i think has very little fiber. Psyllium Husk is good supplement.

metamucil

I eat a lot of protein powder, and noticed that my stools began getting very hard (after starting the protein). This got to the point that hemmorhoids woulds bust open every time I took a crap (this may sound funny, but it is true).

I started adding about a half-teaspoon of Metamucil powder to each protein shake ( I buy the sugar free Metamucil), and it has really softened and smoothed things out.

Funny and or disgusting topic... but inquiring minds need to know!

last thing anyone here wants or need is to be constipated, this will help your ass bust out w/ hemmhoroids, so play it safe and take the soft easy shits. BTW i read somewhere if you take in enough fiber your crap will float.

I use flax seed meal as it's both my good fat and fiber, all rolled into one. Celery is good, as is romaine lettuce, broccoli, cabbage.

Fiber

As a fiber expert, (I have been taking fiber for years because I suffer from IBS and Diverticulitis) I've tried every fiber on the market. The best thing to do is just go to any health food store or GNC and look for a bottle of Daily Fiber Therapy Capsules. The capsules are allot easier than mixing powder all the time. There are different brands to choose from. Try to find one that contains different fiber sources, not just the physllium husks. (not sure if I spelled that right). Then take one or two capsules before every meal and you'll be good to go.
Also digestive enzmes and probiotics are also great for proper digestion. You want to make sure you are absorbing all that protein you are eating. If you want to try probiotics make sure you do your research. There's allot of crap out there. Basically you get what you pay for. If you'd like to know more about it, just shoot me an e-mail. Good luck.
