Dear Mr. O'Reilly,
I have been watching the Chris Benoit coverage with great irritation because so much that has been reported as fact is government hysteria and all tied to the anabolic steroid with hunt conducted by the government these days. I am a heavyweight national level bodybuilder that has used Steroids for 13 years consistently with no health issues mental or otherwise. How often do violent incidents like this happen with alcohol and other drugs? I feel this is media hype and am disappointed in Fox for not delving further and getting the opinions from people who live it in the real world. I know hundreds of people who have used AAS (anabolic/androgenic steroids) over the years without an incident of any kind. The irony of it all is that the current black market for AAS was perpetuated by the US Gov't enacting the 1990 anabolic steroid act at the same time the internet was exploding. This took it out of doctors hands and put it into enterprising European steroid users where it was legal. The pharmaceutical companies now see the HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for men in the baby boomer section exploding and realize the profit potential for an old drug that costs them $3 to make and sells at pharmacies for up to $120. I would be willing to come on and be interviewed as long as it does not put me at a legal risk for admitting to using a controlled substance. Steroid users are not like other drug users as there is not a "high" with the drug. They do not rob stores or mug people or break into houses to get money for there drugs. They do not neglect there kids. They work hard and want to look a certain way. Think about this. A man can take a hormone to become a woman, a woman can take a Testosterone to become a man, but a man cannot take a drug to make him more of what he already is. seems strange does it not?
