Wow! Does it come with runners so you don't fall out at night? I had a bed like a race car myself. My 6 year old thinks this is really cool.

Yes, it is made for "TAPOUT" by the same company that makes the UFC octagons.

I think by the time the chick gets to your house the "look" of the bed matters little... As long as your apartment is organized and your bathroom is clean, I don't think she'll mind the bed.

True, but with one caveat:

If you live with her, she absolutely WILL care what the bedroom furniture looks like. And speaking as a woman who is the least house proud you'll ever meet: "There ain't no straight woman on this planet whose gonna want to wake up in that thing for the next five or ten years."

I actually get in the ring and do this for real. Have been putting in work for a while now.

It's very common for sports fans to show their love for their team or sport by decorating their homes with items that show their commitment to their sport. This wouldn't be any different.

I think this bed would be more suitable for a bachelor pad than a couple's home. Not many women could incorporate this thing into the decor.

I support all the sports teams I played for too(Gators, Orioles)....but my kids wear the PJs and sleep in the memorabilia beds.............most people put grow out kind of thing.

Question....do you wear Tapout clothes to the gym? This answer will answer everything.

It all depends on what the training plan is. I have "Sprawl" and "Tapout" shorts that I wear when grapple. I usually wear "Fairtex" when I work standup. I think overall, "Sprawl" makes a much better fitting short for all around training.

lol, most people confine it to the living room/den/sports room with maybe a couple of framed pictures in the bedroom. This is a wee bit different my friend :p

I wouldn't mind sleeping in that...and I don't get what the big deal is...I have a scarface life size poster on my wall, I have a few other sports items in my room, UFC gloves, tapout shirts...and shorts...I used to make some decent money fighting back home...don't really understand the whole: "this is for kids" thing...do you see kids fighting mma? No. You gotta be a big boy to fight MMA and I assure you the target market for that bed is not kids, it's for adult mma and ufc fans...

I'd sleep in it no problem...and if you think it's the bed that gets you laid, then that's why you're not...I could get laid in a bugs bunny or mickey mouse bed.... lol
 
I seriously can't explain it to you if you don't already get it.

I have the ball from the first home run I hit as an Oriole. I have the first ball I picked off in college......I have the palques...etc. But I sure don't have a $1000K novelty football helmet bed or one in the shape of an Oriole. Cause that would be retarded. My KIDS sleep in stuff like that.

Take the money....feed the homeless or something.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to explain.

Seems to me like you are making assumptions about me and making judgments based on the design of the bed I *might* choose to sleep in.

Instead of going out of your way to try to make me feel inadequate over my taste in bedroom decor, you should try being less judgmental and more tolerant of other people's choices.

Saying you don't like the bed is OK. Trying to make character attacks against me for liking it is NOT Ok at all. This is how drama gets started on the forums.

I really have to say this........this board is really full of some of the thinnest skinned people I have ever seen on any board. Grow a set. Character attacks? My opinion makes your feel inadequate? Read my signature and take the advice. For a "fighter" you seem pretty easy to upset......and rather whinny and weepy.....especially over something as silly as a bed that is obviously for men who haven't grown up yet.

The only time you can have drama is when someone can't take a little sillly criticism without seeing it as a character attack. maybe Lifetime can make a move out of this thread. I only stopped you after the noticing you were still trying to get rise out of me in the 4th page. And only because I feel that somebody who tries this hard to get under someone's skin really does not need to be posting here.

Say what you want about the subject of the thread, in this case the Bed. But when you try to attack the person behind the thread, you are taking a chance at offending somebody... Not me because I don't care. I'm more concerned about you doing this to other people on the site and making their time on EF unpleasant.

I love the amazingly condescending tone and appreciate the time you took to think I was trying to get under your skin. At no point were you even the focus of posts. My focus is more on the mind of anyone that thinks the bed is a good idea for an adult. So that is awfully presumptuous of you. Now who is passing judgement. *I* don't care for the bed. i don't think most women would. but if rick likes it and it won't cause him issues to have it, that's up to him. i think it is probably good for him to know that most woman would be put off by it though, in case he wants to bring new poon home.

i don't think telling him to donate money to a charity makes sense, after saying that you own some other sports memorabilia. everyone has stuff they like, that someone else would consider silly to spend money on. that does seem both judgemental and hypocritical.

but that's my opinion. if i were chrisco or christo or crisco i would drop the topic, as the wrath of rick is non refundable. :)

The sports memorabilia is mine. I didn't pay for it...I got them playing sports. Where is the hypocrisy in that?

okay, so you didn't pay for your sports memorabilia... but do you own anything that others don't, or do you live an extremely sparse lifestyle? because if you have ever indulged you or your wife, then you don't really have any business telling someone else to spend money on a charity, rather than an item they like, just because you don't.

it's not like he was going to lay out $20k for something useless while children begged for food at his side.

Okay...to be honest....after my time overseas in the Army.......I do live a rather sparse lifestyle. I support my family so my wife can stay home with our son during the week, I drive a piece of crap car from point A to point B because our kids playing sports and having what they need is more important to me than a sport car or SUV and if I am standing on the corner with my last $10 in my pocket..and I see a guy down on his luck in a cardboard box....cold, hungry........I give it to him. It was an off the cuff suggestion and again that interpetation is kind of taking things far more seriously that they should be. This is the internet you know. :)

Personally, I think you should chill the fuck out and be a little more respectful.

It's not about people being thin skinned. It's about people like you thinking everything is a joke and going through the whole "popular by assosiation" thing because you are talking disrespetfully to an admin.
