What has this world come to? Rap songs have all Top 10 spots on Billboard!!

We have a station that is called 95.3 party. They started out playing mainly mainstream dance music and it has gradually become a hiphop/rap station with a little techno. I don't see what kids see in the music. Most of them don't right their own lyrics. Music as it was known up to the 80's and early 90's is dead. Now it's unoriginal lipsyncing shit

This has only recently come about. For ages and ages it is usually the case that older people love the music that the younger generation is listening to.

When Elvis came out, the young generation loved him and the parents hated him.
When the Beatles came out, the young generation loved him, and the parents hated him.
I imagine that when Mozart came out, there were old timers that were pissed off about it.

I don't like most rap and I think a lot of it lacks in talent - that said, I think 99.0% of the stuff on the radio lacks in talent.
This is not a fault of the artist - it is the fault of the listening public. If a no talent ass clown can make money for the company by which they are hired, then the company will seek out others just like them until that fad is fully done with and played out.

No, I meant RAP = SUCKS

I was in High School in 1980 and this is when I started to buy
tapes etc and I hated RAP back then when it started a bit later.
Yea, some of these guys are Lyrical Genius' but most use the talent to vent anger and frustration instead of speaking of what they think could be done about it. Yea the record companies probably push them that way for impact and sales reasons..

I still don't like it because so little of it is Positive.
Boyz to Men were an exception..

Same with Teen Angst style stuff.

I enjoy any lots of styles of Music that have good Lyrics that fit into the melody and also a Clean Vocal and acustic talent..

No no no, I wasn't referring to the pansy bands that Bullit (coloncowboy) likes, like Good Charlotte, AFI, etc....

There are still some good bands out there, even though I prefer the song itself over bands.
