what got you motivated??

older brother, i dont see him much but when i do i am scared and nervous not to let him down when hittin the wieghts togsther

i get the shits just before lifting with him, cuz i am know iam gonna get my ass kicked
 
I play Football over here in England. Last summer i got onto the Great Britain Students team. Thing is, the tour that year was planned to be a tour to the US.

As you can imagine, Amfoot isn't taken that seriously over here, and as i am naturally quite strong i never needed to train seriously to be considered good.

However, i knew that going over to the states would be a different matter. So i started hitting the gym seriously. And this has continued till today.
 
Personally, I just really like feeling sore the day after. I got started after graduating HS. I was about 275 of pure fat (benching 80lbs maybe). That sucked.
 
now I'm at the point where people are starting to look at me like a freak, and I love it. I am currently at 246lbs, just under 5'9", at about 11% bf. I went out to a club the other night with some buddies, and I actually heard people making comments about my size and me being a freak, as they walked by....that makes it worth while. Plus, watching guys get mad because their girlfriends kept looking at me, that was just funny

I got into it because I wanted to look better. Of course, I didn't know anything and didn't make any significant progress. I'm one of those guys who has decent natural muscle shape, so I looked like I worked out even when I didn't. People's reactions to my innately decent-looking physique gave me a taste of what reactions an attractive body could get, so I started hitting the weights anew.

Eventually I got addicted to the process of adding muscle. It's almost like collecting things for a hobby, but instead of coins or stamps it's pounds of LBM. Now I have more strength-related goals, such as benching mid-200s, squatting 300's, deadlifting 400's. I'd love to hit the magic 300-400-500 milestone. And I'm sure by the time I get there I'll look pretty damn good. It'd be fun to do some modeling, I think I have the potential for it.
 
i have no friends, and i thought that if i started lifting it would magically get me some....didnt start lifting yet, bu ti joined the wrestling team, and i still have no friends:bday:

needsize...i know what u mean it was the same with me when i was 225-230 back in 2000. any hoot, that's always a plus when girls look at you like that!! tb
