I use a horse supplement called Adequan (acetyl-D-glucosamine). It's yet another IM injection every week, but it seems to work well . I have a bad left knee (damaged cartilage and should eventually be repaired), and I also have some arthritis starting up in my hips, per a CT scan recently.
Adequan isn't approved for human use in the USA, but it is elsewhere, and it's not a controlled substance or illegal anywhere, that I know of at this time. It's considered a supplement only.

daily, I take plenty of good oils (fish, flax, olive, grapeseed), drink tons of water, take gluc/chond/msm, and take Forged Joint Repair. Days I am going to work legs, I make sure I warmup properly, and apply skeletal balm to my knees, then pull neoprene sleeves over them.
First step is to identify whats hurting them. poor squat form is one common culprit. Next, you need to let them heal and stop working through the pain or masking the pain with NSAIDS/ice etc. Doing so will NOT fix anything and long term will ruin your knees permanently.
i may have bad form,i will have to work on this thank you
Its common for a lot of folks to let their knees drive in when squatting and it will heat up the knees pretty fast. Make sure you are driving the knees OUT when squatting they should never come inside your feet.
