What does happiness mean to you?

As many of you have noticed, I'm cranky and probably falling into a depression. Just wondering what happiness means to you guys.

Being financially stable, having some good female company, and having fun with my friends and family from time to time is all I really NEED. That and my workouts.

It's not flashy, but it's all I need. Everything else is just 'gravy'.

I have pretty much very similar views on happiness.

If that's all it takes for you, then it's not all that hard to achieve. The problem is, does your wife need more than that to be happy? Sit her down and make her straight out answer this question...what does she need? Because if you're both fundamentally happy, then the down mood lately may just be a temporary changing of the seasons kind of thing...nothing to worry about.

A happy day ......

Waking up around noon, driving 25 minutes to the beach and going for a short walk comming home and taking our dogs to the dog park .Seeing them run around the grassy field around sunset time as we lay on a blanket in the grass watching the stars and the moon come out . That is a perfect day

I dont think you're suffering from depression but rather you're having relationshop issues. Focus on your relationship.

traz, you are a little cyclothymic if i had to guess. ( google it )

happiness is when i am ok with me.

if i'm not ok with me, i tend to "externalize" my unhappiness onto

my environment and its inhabitants. ( this is what we all do, whether

we are aware of it or not )

if i've been remotely dishonest or selfish, it begins to fester and i become

miserable. when i am straight with the world, everything' hunky dory

in layinback land

thank you for another STELLAR contribution to a serious thread.

your compassion and humanity is only exceeded by your

ability to commit to anything\anyone :)

happyness is knowing that no matter what happens, youre going to die at the end of it all.

also, realize that no matter what, you are completely alone. you can try talking to someone, or explaining yourself, or your feelings, but when it comes down to it, the person you are trying to "connect with" will still be in their own world, with their own interpretation and perception of whats going on. you can never truely share yourself. so live in your head and enjoy it.

hope that helped
