Hello all!

I was browsing through Muscle&Fitness mag and Muscular Development mag. And what cought my eyes is that it said that "preacher curls", "tricep pressdowns" , "hanging leg raises", etc are at the top of "EMG" readings.

Does that mean that those exercises are the most effective to hit that particular muscle group?
anyone knows?

reply please!

AN EMG is a surface electrode test used to check the electrical activity of the muscle, and the amount of fibers used. However, they only test muscle fibers on the surface of the muscle, they leave out the deeper running fibers.

Yeah a lot of times I personally dont agree with EMG studies at all... I have a lot of reasons why I have seen a lot of exercises that EMG studies say are great that arent too good to me. Just my $.02.
