what do you use to listen to music at the gym?

:) Agreed, the fanny pack thing is somewhat fruity..

I see a few people in my gym with the mp3 player that is strapped onto their upper arm. Looks really convenient, small, stays out of the way. When I have some $$, I'm definately doing that.

I don't know, I like them. The fanny packs that people walk around in at the mall or something, thats fruity, but an elastic belt that holds a cd player is fruity? Maybe it just seems normal cause everybody at my gym has one.

Hey, I dont think training hard means no music lol. I can never find a way to carry a player that doesnt interfere somehow though. The ideal system is a mp3 cd player, hooked up to a mini fm transmitter. You pick up the signal with a headset radi. No packs, no wires, just headphones.

I use a MP3 player that I usually tuck in my waistband. I usually wind up fiddling with it because when I squat it keeps falling out and yanking the headphones out of my ears... my husband wears his MP3 player on a lanyard around his neck... i am still holding out for an arm band...

I use a Rio Riot MP3 player which holds 20g of music. Works out well, kind of an odd clipping mechanism and recently it's been acting up. So, I beat the hell out of it the last time at the gym, and it works now:rolleyes:

Several of the guys at the gym do this.

We just listen to whatever they play at the gym. It's usually the Rock station, which is OK. I'd much rather be able to listen to some metal. However, my music would scare away most of the people at our gym.
...chad...

I use a cd player in the elastic pack when training alone but if my partner is there I just listen to what the gym plays. It doesnt really get in my though

I use one of those belts you mentioned with the pack to hold my MP3 disk player. The wire only gets in the way during bent rows, so I take it off then.
